Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is based on UGC guidelines in updated form.The faculty are well and experienced basically they are from top IITS and NITS.The semester exam is easy one can easily score good cgpa with putting small efforts. Practicals are carried out very effectively by the faculty

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunity is also good 50-60% students gets Internship in 5th semester very easily. Project culture is excellent. KIIT focuses more on projects so that every student can get good placement based on projects knowledge

Placement of college is average for all branches. All branches are treated equally. 70-80% of the students get Placement with an average package 5-6 lpa. Placement also depends on market scenario so the percentage may vary.Many companies visited to college premises for Placement. But ROI of KIIT college is less compared to other teir 1 colleges

As of now KIIT fee is very high but you can avail for the many scholarship policy for more details you can got KIIT official page and download the scholarship criteria.you can get 60000 per semester as a scholarship after getting rank with in 1K in KIITEE entrance exam. You can avail scholarship when your parents income is less than 200000 per year or if you belong to Economically weaker section of the society

Campus Life

The campus is awesome,you can explore any of the field you want .KIIT provide very good infrastructure for sports,social activities.KIIT have world class library.it also have students activity center called KSAC where students can do extracurricular activity.

Hostel Facilities

The Hostel facility is very good you can opt for AC and Non AC boths are available. The food quality is above average. The rules and regulations are little strict. Hostel have big campuses where you can play and enjoy the greenery of the campus.

Admission

The admission process for my college typically involves filling out an online application form called KIITEE. On getting certain rank you choose your specific branch in BTech course. The level of KIITEE exam slightly easy than other entrance exam like JEE.

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

KIIT is worth your money without any doubt!!!!

Students generally have to give the KIITEE exam (exam registration can be done from the official college website, https://kiit.ac.in). Admission can also be done through management quota or your jee main score (Information regarding that is regularly updated on the official Kiit website. Reservations: 15% of seats are reserved for SC, 7.5% for ST, and 3% for physically challenged students. Suggested changes: Honestly, the admission process is smooth and easy.
