Kalindi College, B.Sc, Physics

Remarks

Overall this college was good. I would suggest anyone to take admission in this college.

Entrance Preview

I got admission in the second cut off list. this college is good in academics, in extracurricular activities and placements. keeping all these things in mind, i reserved a seat for myself in kalindi college. this ios an all girls college with a safe environment an surroundings are also good.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

the course i opted was b.sc physical sciences with computer science. i find this course quiet beneficial because i got to study computer science alongwith physics and maths. Now delhi university has added a skill enhancement course with every course. This subject is added just for the skills and it is compulsory to clear this subject.

Internships Opportunities

yes, internships are provided. regular, part time as well as work from home. common areas are marketing, content writing, and finance.

College Events

3.5

the computer science and physics society is known as physcom society and plenty of events are the college for students. the theme is mostly technical. Other societies also organize the events. the annual cultural fest is LEHREN. last time, the college invited pulkit samrat and kriti kharbanda on the annual fest of kalindi college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

fee structure is feasible. The fees is charged on an annual basis. it varies between 3000-10000 depending upon the course you are going to opt. I paid 10000 rupees anually for the course of B.Sc physical sciences. rupees 500-1500 is charged for exams. it is the examination fee and must be paid every semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

scholarships are available for students who attain highest marks or percentage in a particular year.

Campus Life

3.5

kalindi college is a girls college. labs of science department are quite okay, comparatively computer labs are better.competitions and events are organized of different department and topics. the dramatic society of the Kalindi college is really good and is named as RAQS.

Hostel Facilities

3

PG's are available near the college that is in Patel Nagar and rajendra place. The average monthly rate is around 6000 to 8000 for a single person. The PG owners provide the food and electricity i.e, 6000 rupees includes it. the food quality is okay. mostly, it is home-made food and also they are safe for girls.

Alumni/Alumna

yes, they are helpful.a new joinee can take the help of seniors for infrastructure, notes and the course.

Exam Structure

internal exams are scheduled always after the mid sem break. Practicals are scheduled before the final semester exams. external invigilators come for the practicals. exams for odd semesters starts in november and for even semesters, exams start in april-may.

Admission

I got admission through the merit list based on an aggregate of 82% in physics, chemistry and maths. Admission procedure starts the next day after the release of the cut off. i had to reach the college before 9 to avoid the queues. it took around 3 to 4 hours in the process.

Faculty

4

the faculty of the college is cooperative and helpful. every teacher is well qualified and serves their student the best. as I have already mentioned that this college is good in academics, it's all because of the faculty and the facilities they are offering to students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.
