What Students Say

Likes

Dhwani , Drishti , Disha , Samskara and other fest made the college festive mode.
College ambiance is good and aesthetic. It is a green campus
All the department conducts fest like Tesla , Dotslash , Candela , override etc

Dislikes

We don't get regular sem breaks to enjoy
Semester schedule is very tight and we don't get enough time for preparing exam
Teachers are not friendly, they don't ensure students are understanding everything they teach.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is easy . It includes topics like DSA,OOP concepts in Java, Database Management System, Operating system , Graph Theory etc. It is easy to learn and it provides practical knowledge and theoretical knowledge.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 8000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is 4300 per semester Our course consists of 8 semesters. Many of the students are availing scholarship like ONGC , pragithi , Egrantz, FFE , MCM scholarship etc.It offers tuition fee waiver, hostel fee waiver etc

Campus Life

Campus Life is so good. Our campus have got many clubs like Google devolopment student cell , tinkerhub , IEDC , NSS, IEEE etc which makes the college active throughout. All the clubs conduct many programs that enhances students skill.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are good . It is very affordable and food is also economic compared to private hostels. It follows specific menu based on this food is being provided. Hostel also provides sports facilities which encourages students sports

Hostel Fee: INR 4000 per year

Admission

Admission to CET is through KEAM. It consist of two papers . Paper 1( Physics and chemistry) & Paper 2 ( Mathematics. Exam is conducted once in a year . Difficult level is medium. For those who choose engineering should take both papers.

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

Best engineering college in North malabar

Placement Experience:

Placement is average .top MNC except Google and Microsoft comes here.examppes are Infosys,TCS,Shobha construction etc.average package was 4 lpa some gotabove 10 lpa some students got more than one placement .no of offers made was about 300.from s6 onwards students become eligible for placement. Placement training is very good in the college.about 40 percentage got placement oncampus.highest package was 15 lpa.minimum package was 3 lpa.

Yes,Students will get placement from 7th semester.Many companies like Infosys,Wipro,TCS etc come for placement.Most of the companies hire in bulk from the college.Lowest CTC was 300k annually and highest CTC was 1000k annually.Almost 60 percentage students are got placed from here.Apart from placement many students prepare for all india exams like GATE,SSC JE etc

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More
