Likes

Infrastucture is good as compared to different colleges.
Labs have ACs and have equipments in good condition.
Course is as per the trend which is great.

Dislikes

Less time to get involved in non academic activites.
Many teachers are not cooperative when it comes to events.
Very much students are there in the college so thier is very less senior junior interaction for a freshie.

Course Curriculum Overview

The current course which is going in university is good and as per the trend but all the things depend on faculty there are all kind of faculties , some are very good so all depends on luck in case of faculty but yeah all faculty will cooperate and they tries their best

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

My Course fees is 1,20,000. One can get the Scholarship by giving cucet exam and according to the score the scholarship is provided. Scholarships are between 10% to 90% but you have to maintain 7.5 cgpa throughout the course i havent seen any campus employment opportunites yet (except campus placements).

Campus Life

The infrastructure is good. there are fests, Tashan nites and many more things organised by Department of Art and Cultural affairs. various study related clubs are also available. but yeah the burden of academics is there

Admission

The admission process was smooth but you have to deal with patience as the personal guider provided by university will make you feel that you dont have much time but in reality you have a lot of time to decide. So Be Patient... Yes i was eligible for the course Application form can be easily found in the website, For scholarship exam the fees was Rs1000 and one can also avail the schjolarship with their class 12th grades if they have 90+ percentage. the difficulty level was medium and all the other information is provided in the university's official website or you can freely ask you guide provided by university

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

Placement Experience:

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
