I've chosen bachelor of technology in civil engineering, as I have very little knowledge in biology. My parents are civil engineers so I choose the same for my career as well. I find the curriculum not too difficult to understand.

Internships Opportunities

There is a intership cell dedicated to provide intership opportunities to students but I haven't seen many get internships from the college. Only a few number of students are getting intership opportunities from the campus.

Placement Experience

The campus has a placement and career guidance cell to help the students to get placed in various companies. Good number of students are getting placed every year. Placement drive happens for the final year students every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

As of now there are no tuition fee hikes. There are various scholarship opportunities that are provided by the govt, private sectors and by the alumini association too. The course is very much affordable.

Campus Life

The campus provides various technical fests, cultural fests and department wise fests as well. There are many technical, cultural clubs that one can easily be part of. The campus offers a good exposure to sports and extracurricular activities too.

Hostel Facilities

The rooms are provided on a sharing basis. The room rent is cheap, near rooms with all the facilities that a student needs. The quality of food provided in the mess is also good. The registration process is easy.

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

12th pass is the eligibility criteria. Have to qualify entrance exam KEAM. Reservation Benefits like cut off Mark varies each year. Difficulty level of exam is moderate. Exam is being conducted once every year.

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

Placement is average .top MNC except Google and Microsoft comes here.examppes are Infosys,TCS,Shobha construction etc.average package was 4 lpa some gotabove 10 lpa some students got more than one placement .no of offers made was about 300.from s6 onwards students become eligible for placement. Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank.
