Likes
- I really like the student community here, all the structures and programs are placed in such a way that you have a really nice and fun social life
- The student projects and technical clubs give a lot of exposure and experience
- All the teachers are very helpful and even the seniors are very chill and provide a home like feeling
Dislikes
- On holidays we get 2 big vacation the summer vacation is really big (2month) but other than that we don't really get much holidays in festivals
- The fee is comparatively a bit too high and there aren't many scholarship programs
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty and equipments are excellent, we get nice hands on experience, we only have 2 exams per semester- mid sems and end sems , there are also these technical clubs and student project which you can become a part of and gain quite a lot of experience and work on many projects and even go to competitions representing MIT
Fees and Financial Aid
the fee is quite high , 3.2L for tution fee and 1.6L for hostel and accomodations , though the education and equipments which are provide make it feel worth it , and accomodations is also quite nice and cleaned regularly and the fee also includes your health insurance (i.e. you can get free medical checkup and even tests like blood test and xrays that are all covered by the college themselves)
Campus Life
there are 2 fest that are held every year , "tech tatva" the technical fest that is held during October which holds a lot of technical workshop and competitions , and "revels" the cultural fest where a lot of great personalities and singers, comedians come to provide a lot of fun , there is a big 3 floor library which has probably all the books you might need , educational and novels also , sports clubs and teams are also great they hold regular friendly competition and matches with neighbouring colleges , and as already told about the students clubs and projects they give a lot of experience and campus life is the best and most fun you can get
Hostel Facilities
there are many types of rooms single ac , delux , double ac , connected or or shared bathroom, and different types of hostels like skyrise types (have 15-16 floors) or normal 4-5 floor , hostels are different for joiners and seniors , its regularly cleaned for free by zolo scholars company , and overall environment is also good very green, quality of food is great we get 4 meals a day , registration is also pretty easy they have a separate site for hostels which you are provided when you get selected in college
Admission
The admission is done through Manipal Entrence Test (MET) which is help twice a year, near the dates of jee attempt 1 and 2 usually , the difficulty is about the same , MET is relatively a bit easier one could say , there is no reservations me being a general liked that fact quite a lot so everyone comes merit based , cutoff is based branch vise and also which campus you select, they hold their own mit counciling which you have to participate in , and from my experience you can get ECE in the main campus at 95-100 marks or 8k rank , and all branches in the other campuses
