Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I took this course just because I had no other option and also interest in electrical field and btech will be good way to make a perfect carrier for me. EEE curriculum is very tight you will have so many courses and labs . Classes will be from morning 8 to 1 or afternoon 1 to 5or6. Labs will be of three hours and in each sem you will have 1 or 2 labs . Record writing is the most hectic thing in EEE we have to write both rough and fair record of the same experiment. Syllabus is very tough for me it takes time to understand some of the topics. Some of the professors are well experienced and they take classes nicely but some of them are boring and not experienced enough to teach well. We have midsem exam of 30 marks which is 1.5 hrs and ensem of 50 marks 3hrs and 20 internals and grading system is mostly relative but some of them are absolute grading.

Placement Experience

3

From 4th sem you are eligible for internship and after 6th sem you are eligible for placement. There are so many companies like Amazon tata Mahindra bosh Google etc... Highest package 47lakhs in 2023 and 84.76 were placed . My cgpa is low so getting placed in very less chance so I will try off campus placement or try upsc or psc .

Fees and Financial Aid

Iam writing in my college expenditure.During admission time as an st category inhad to pay like seat acceptance fee ,partial admission fee tution fee hostel fee and it became a total of around 71000 and after that from second sem I have to pay 13k for hostel fees and 9000 for academics. I am availing egrantz scholarship which is for st SC and obc students of Kerala State students given by Kerala govt and there are certain other scholarship for many categories of students which you can apply in academic block. Fee structure is different for different categories of students.

Iam from st category so my cutoff was around 30 and if you are from homestate st category and you have above 30 you will admission in nit of your homestate. Admission process is through josaa website, they will publish the date, form and allotment process everything through josaa . You have to pay seat acceptance and other fee to josaa and remaining amount to the admitted college after that you will have physical reporting in college to verify all the certificate which is required for admission and also which you filled in admission form like 10th certificate 12th certificate bonafide caste certificate and if you are a repeater gap certificate, josaa seat allocated form adhaar card passbook etc. I faced difficulty only to get hostel card it took so much time to receive we had to stand a long queue.

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.
