My Experience at KIIT University

The course curriculum was good and was practical based mostly as semester increases. The curriculum traces all the sectors of the real world problems and it uplifts the academic pursuits. The teaching should be more interactive with the help of real life examples and the course curriculum should include a few practical based subjects. As said before the Mid Semester Exam would be 90 minutes while the End Semester would be 3 hours and the difficulty increases semester wise.

JP Morgan, IBM, Amazon AWS, Microsoft all provide internships in various domains like Software Engineering, Data Analyst with stipends. Projects should be done by 3rd Year itself in order to sit for the internships.

The tuition fee is fixed till now. The course fees is approximately 2.5 Lacs per semester which is compulsory. Scholarships are awarded to those who scored highest in KIITEE exam. I haven't been involved in any campus employment till now.

In KIIT there are numeral cultural festivals that are celebrated throughout the year such as Holi, Saraswati Puja, Utkal Diwas etc. The library of our university is very huge containing a vast number of books and journals which are easily accessible. All the facilities are provided to the students. The campus offers a huge amount of sports and extracurricular activities and the student can take part in those to upskill and showcase their talents. A large amount of student societies and clubs are present in our campus each offering opportunities to students to engage themselves within a group and able to solve and manage real-life problems.

The hostel facility is good, all necessary items are provided in our rooms. Menu and the meal served are pretty decent. The hostel accommodation form has to be filled on the day of reaching KIIT for the start of our college life while the affordability has to be filled via online.

The admission process was smooth. The eligibility criteria of the course was fixed by the institution. The application form and the rest of the stuffs can be found in the website of the institution itself. I took KIITEE which is the entrance exam for admission to KIIT University and was lucky to get more than the cutoff percentage. There would be 2 exams per semester one Mid and the other is End Semester. Mid Semester would be 90 minutes and End Semester would be 3 hours. The difficulty of the paper increases semester wise.
