Course Curriculum Overview
I decided to pursue BBA as i always have wanted to pursue an MBA. i could not clear the cutoff for a BA hons english course in DU, so this was the next best thing. The course helps students prepare for real life as they incorporate subjects such as legal aspects of business, marketing, business communication very smoothly. Teaching methods are good, the teachers know how to make the students learn by using real life uses rather than rote learning. Exams take place twice a semester, but I wish the mid sem exams took place a little later, as they currently occur 1.5 months after the semester begins as by then only less than 40% of a certain course is taught and it feels very early.
Internships Opportunities
We get summer internships in our second year from MNCs such as byju's, tcs, etc. Stipends may or may not be offered, depending on the offer letter given to the student. It is a great opportunity for students to get experience with real life work
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus palcements after the 5th semester. about 60% of the students get placed in bba course with an average salary of 4 LPA, highest offered being 8 LPA from recruiters like byju's and TCS. My plans after getting the degree are to obtain work experience for 1-2 years if possible, then give the CAT exam hopefully to end up in an IIM for my MBA
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fee, atleast for BBA course increases by 5% each year. Currently, i pay 1.1 lakh per year which will increase to approximately 1.2L next year. I know the course fees for the previous batch was close to 80k INR per year, so it increases at a steady amount each year. Complete cost for me would be around 3.5 Lakh including tuition, I dont have a hostel or PG as i live in the city itself. Multiple sccholarships and financial aids are provided by the university to reserved categories. We are also given the opportunity for a summer internship in our second year.
Campus Life
The University holds 2 festivals each year. Resonanz is the intra college festival, occuring in the month of october. Moksha is the inter college festival, which is known to be one of the biggest festivals in the NCR region. Thousands of college students attend it each year in the month of march. Popular artists like Sunidhi Chauhan, raftaar, KK have been known to perform in it. Our college has multiple clubs, and the club involvement is through the roof. Our college also provides clubs with financial help for any events they want to organise.
Admission
The eligibility is via giving the CUET exam, specifically the English and General Test. Then, you have to sign up for the CMAC (Central Management Admission Committee) form, where colleges like IGDTUW, DTU and NSUT participate to for admission to their management courses. You can find the cmac forms when they release in july. My fees currently at NSUT is 1.1 Lakh per year, with a 5% increase every year. The course is of 3 years, with an option for 4 years for the Honors degree. You can also exit after 1 and 2 years for a certificate and diploma respectively. Exams take place twice a semester, Mid semester exams take place 1.5 months after a semester begins, and end semester exams take place in the month of december and april/may for the respective semester. The difficulty is mediocre, everything in the exams comes from what you've learned throughout the course. When i participated in CMAC, they delayed their shortlisting process by 2 weeks which i wish wasn't the case.
Other Applied Colleges
Delhi University - [DU] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] (English)
Could not clear the cutoff.
Ambedkar University Delhi - [AUD] | Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA]
The infrastructure was failing, and there were multiple protests by the faculty at the time of admission, so I decided against going to this college
