IITM honest review

I persuade BBA after completing my school. Due to my interest in business activities and operations BBA was the best option for me that time. But now this course is generally not that relevant . Students can opt for BBA only if they have a specific plan for future. Otherwise it is just a degree

The internships offered by College was very poor . They have their own internship society named as Internware in which they used to offer very less stipend or sometimes no stipend and the work culture was also not good in the internship. No relevant experience or knowledge is provided in those internships .

Campus placements in IITM were decent. Neither good nor bad. Students become eligible from the 6th semester to become eligible for campus placements. The only condition is students should not be having any active Backlog in any subject. Few of the companies that visited IITM for placements were Deloitte, KPMG , TCS, Wipro providing an average package lying somewhere around 2-5 lpa . The highest package offered was 7 lpa to my batchmate by a startup company. Only 25% of students got placed in the campus placements as most of them were looking for OFF campus placements including me

The fee structure was pretty basic at the IITM janakpuri IPU . My BBA costed around 3,50,000 and the duration was 3 years . There weren't any such development or lab charges but yes they did asked to submit 5000 as a security deposit which is refunded to me after course completion. Fees was comparatively decent for a semi govt. College like IITM and it is ranked in the top 10 colleges for BBA in IP University. College was over-all a good experience except the campus size . Even the cultural fests were organised in some other places because the college can't accommodate large no. Of students at a time

The Campus size was a major problem for students. They couldn't enjoy sitting in ground or participating in any sports because college didn't own any of their own ground. The cultural fests were also organised in stadiums or auditoriums . Freshers party was good. However there was an annual sports day in which students participated in multiple sports and games . College used to arrange a separate sports complex for a day and arranged the sports day there only.

I was having few colleges in my mind before taking admission in IITM . VIPS, trinity, JIMS and Maharaja Surajmal institute of technology and Management were some of my preferences . The procedure of taking admission in top IP colleges were simple that time. You only had to appear for IPUCET . A common entrance test for IP colleges. My rank was around 7000 something and the desired rank for Vips was under 2000 . So I failed to make it to VIPS and MSIT and my other two preferences were far away from my home and IITM was the nearest college so I opted for it

The faculty of IITM were quite chill and Frank with students. Students can share anything with them except for some senior professors . Late comings was obviously not entertained in any college and same was the situation with IITM . The best professor according to me was Mr. Nemi Rishi . He was the faculty of Information practices and his teaching style was also very good . The exam pattern was divided in 3 parts . First is the internals second was the Viva and practical and last were the Semester End Externals

No I didn't appeared for any GD round to get admission in the college. The admission process was simple. Student need to get eligible for taking the admission and had to appear for an entrance exam IPUCET conducted by IP University every year . I prepared for IPUCET through YouTube lectures and some general Aptitude books like RS Agrawal
