Diversity in college. College have student of every state from India and also from outside India.
Fests and function is quite often which is enjoyed by every students.
Hackathon and internships offer are quite often which is helpful for career growth.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is quite relative. I have chosen computer science engineering in information security which I am interested in. Teaching methods are good and also curriculum is ok. Exam in college is quite often. Every month you will be having exams and a final exam. Difficulty level of exam is easy. You will pass it easily.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 163000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are many internship opportunity available in the college like currently I am enrolled in and internship program with teacnook associated with IIT bhubaneswar. Not only that the are many other companies that offer internship with and without stipend like IBM.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees is mentioned on college website. However giving CUCET exam can provide you upto 100% scholarship which is impossible to get. Maximum student get 50% scholarship only. Which is quite well. However your have to maintain a minimum of 7.5cgpa every year to maintain the scholarship. Campus employment are only for doctorate degree students. Bachelor's and master's degree student can do internships for earning money.

Campus Life

There are many festivals or fests happen in this college like are the start of the semester you will have freshers party which is grand and also tashan nights which is dj night is quite often also CU FEST is there which is a grand event in Cu. There are many library in this college and a vast variety of knowledge is available. Now ACs are being installed in classes. South campus already have one. And specialisation course 2nd year onwards classes run there. The sports complex for sports enthusiast students. There are many groups clubs in the college some of them are CSI,IEEE etc.

Hostel Facilities

Facilities provided in room is very good if anything went wrong or anything gets bas it is repaired instantly the next day after completing on CUIMS. MESS FOR IS ALSO GOOD. You will get 4 times food. If you don't want to get hostels you can find PG nearby

Hostel Fee: INR 120000 per year

Admission

Admission process was quite easy. I took admission during in my home. I had given one exam which was online that is CUCET for scholarship and I got 50% scholarship. You have get atleast 30 marks for admission.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.
