Likes

Focusing on wholesome development is the one thing I like the most.
Seniors are very cooperative in every aspect.
Exposure to many things is also very nice.

Dislikes

Teaching methods of professor is sometimes not good.
Grading policy is sometimes not good which suffers students.
Curriculum in iit Delhi is little bit tough.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course in the first year in all IITs is same, the curriculum in iit is not so tough and not so easy, but there should be an improvement in teaching methods as sometimes professors lack in an interactive teaching session

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure varies from family total income, scholarships are also provided for those who are prodigy students and can't afford high fees or whose family income is less than 3-4 lakh. Financial assistance is also provided to those who need that. Caste-based reservation is also there.

Campus Life

My overall experience in campus life is extremely good, they focus on the overall wholesome development of an individual, I have been involved in many clubs in my first year, and it was such a wonderful experience.

Admission in IIT is done through jossa counseling, which is done after jee advanced qualification. Entrance exam is jee to get admission in iit , cutoff vary year wise . Application process is easy , done through online

From Classrooms to Campus ; my dtu journey

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

NIT Delhi: A Balanced Blend of Academics, Opportunities, and Campus Life

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

A decent college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.
