NIT Kurukshetra: the only guide you need to read

The course curriculum is bit outdated. No software integration is taught which is the current buzzword right now. Teachers are pretty chill although and you may get number if you study diligently. Each year is divided into 2 semesters and each semester consists 2 mid sems and one end sem examinations.

For internships a lot of companies come on campus which includes big tech companies like Google, Microsoft, Amex, Wells Fargo and average stipend for such companies is 80k-1.25Lakhs. Then many startups come as well which offer non technical as well as technical roles and stipend ranges from 10k-65k

Our college has a dedicated placement cell which helps students get placement and internship opportunities. Companies come for variety of roles including software domain, consultant role, data analytics, etc. average placement package is around 8-8.5 Lakhs

Fees structure for general candidates is 77000 per semester + hostel and mess fees. Hostel fees is 7000 for semester and mess fees is roughly around 4-5k per month. Our college has a separate scholarship fund which is funded by the alumnis and separate scholarship or fees recession to pwd and castes reservation students

NIT Kurukshetra got a lot of clubs including both technical and cultural clubs. We have two tests round the year, cultural fest: confluence and tech fest: techspardha. You may get inducted into the clubs in first year itself based on your interests and skills. I was part of ELAD: English literary and debating club

College provides hostel facilities to students. I'm first year: you may get triple seater room but from second year onwards, you'll get single seated rooms. Boys hostel count is 10 and girls hostel count is 2. No such PG facility is provided by college, although you may get it on your own

We needed to appear for jee main and got admission based on CRL. I got AIR 17444 rank and got admission in Electrical engineering for B.Tech. Reservation is there and is of two types, 1. State reservation and 2. Caste reservations. Overall, college is pretty good with good peers and plethora of learning's and activities
