A Comprehensive Review of Social, Academic, and Residential Experiences from college students

I choosed this course as I like to study in detail about the psychological disorders therapies and I really wanted to help others who has difficulties or mental disorders, stress, anxiety or depression. Some of the teachers a just taking classes to cover the portions like they are just taking seminar on the topics in the curriculum. Students needs teachers who interact with them about the course and about life which will only help the students to improve.

Our college is providing internships for both ug and pg students as our syllabus already include it. We had the opertunity to visit Hope cancer centre at Kozhikode and Louis mount psychiatry hospital as part of the internship we had this year. And they have also send us to different special schools and anganvadis for having a practical experience on the course we are studying. Our course mainly focus on topics related with anxiety, depression,etc.

Firstly talking about the fee, my college is providing courses at low fee as their main is to help the rural area improve as the college is located in a rural area, and to provide poor students also to afford education. My course fee is 22500 yearly which is comparatively lower. There is no campus employment or campus interview which is the only disadvantage I have felt about my college.

Talking about the festival we celebrate most of them. But as my college is run by a Christian management, the main festival we celebrate here is christmas. Not only christmas But also Onam as it's keralas main one. We have a well developed library which offers a wide variety of books which helps us improve our language and knowledge. When coming to sports my college have molded many sports personalities. We are having both girls and boys baseball team which is our main event. Many players from my college have achieved national team selection. Also many other sports team are there like football, cricket, volleyball etc. Our college is also having ground or court for football, basketball, cricket etc. As my college's main course is social work there are many social groups or clubs. Also students from every courses are getting equal opportunity for it making the students have a better knowledge about the society and improve thier knowledge about life.

The college offers hostel facility which is run by a group of sisters.The registration process just had a form filling. The room rent and food price together were 5000 which is ok. The rooms are good as it's spacious and we'll maintained. I like my room very much. But coming to the food section it's worst. The Meals do not match the taste as how they said while taking admission. I'm having a tasty meal once a weak or in a while. In my suggestion it is better to take rooms outside like in an apartment or rent a house with friends which helps to adjust the rent which I only suggest because of the hostel food.

As I heard about this college from my family friend I enquired about this college. I found that lissah was offering degree in psychology, I applied for admission online. 2 days later they called me for an enquiry and said they have started admission and called me to attend the interview for the admission on the next day. I attended it the next day. The interview was not that difficult. It was conducted just for a formality. The college director, principle and department head was there for the interview along with iqac coordinator. They just asked about me ,my family, and my place. They enquired about my reservation benefits but I was not having any. But i suggest they should include some questions about the course as they have not asked about it much. I think they should consider it. The course fee was much affordable as compared with other colleges which offer the same course.
