Course Curriculum Overview

The course at Chandigarh University is all according to the national engineering council.The study and should be more practical than the theoretical one.The mid semester exam comes after every month that is hectic.

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 273100 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are several companies that provide internship with stipend associated with Chandigarh University are tata ,Wipro ,Capgemini etc. The students were assigned with independent projects in their first year with is basically related to research.

Placement Experience

The placements of the college are average.The average CSE package is 400000 per annum.The companies visited in the past year are 900 and total offers made are above 9000.I want to be placed at top mnc company with a decent package

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of engineering per semester is 136000.The scholarship is provided by the entrance exam called CUCET.The scholarship ranging from 10 to 100%. The university provides a healthy environment about online hackthons

Campus Life

The campus life in the chandigarh University is average.The main campus of the university is south campus . Chandigarh University is developing it's infrastructure day by day. Classrooms are moderate in size .There are several clubs such as IEEE club .

Admission

I get the admission through CUCET exam . One can get admission on the basis of class 12 marks also. Cut off for this exam is 30 marks out of 100. I didn't like the time aspect of the exam , the time provided is very less.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
