Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum we are following is designed according to UGC policy. According to me, I will give an 8/10 for the curriculum. a. They offer a vast number of courses throughout the course and make our education rich with different subjects which are in demand. b. The curriculum is very well designed to prepare us for real-world applications like AI/ML, CC, Quantum Mechanics and many more. c. Improving the course curriculum and teaching methods is essential for ensuring students receive a high-quality education. Some areas of Improvement according to me are Student-Centered Learning, Professional Development for Faculty, Continuous Improvement, and industry relevance. d. The Frequency of exams is: 1. 2 hourly exams - Moderate level 2. 1 Mid sem Practical- Moderate level 3. End Sem Theory - Difficult Level 4. End Sem Practical - Difficult Level

Internships Opportunities

4

University provides plenty of internship opportunities for student which offer PPO(Pre-Placement offer). Companies and Roles Offered: Companies across various sectors may offer internship roles to students. For example: Tech Mahindra: Software Development Intern Deloitte: Business Analyst Intern Tata Consultancy Services (TCS): Data Science Intern Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL): Marketing Intern Amazon: Operations Intern HighRadius - SDE, BA Intern and many more Stipend: Internship stipends can vary based on the company and role, ranging from a few thousand to tens of thousands per month, depending on factors like duration and location. There are different projects based on companies need

Placement Experience

4

Chandigarh University boasts a robust placement record with a significant number of companies visiting the campus each year to recruit students across various disciplines. Students typically become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester of their course. This allows students to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge before entering the job market. Chandigarh University attracts a wide range of companies spanning different sectors. With over 900 companies visiting the campus, the university has made around 9124 offers to students. The highest package offered at Chandigarh University can be as high as 1.7 crores (for international placements), showcasing the potential for lucrative career opportunities. Additionally, the average package offered by 304 companies provides a solid foundation for students starting their careers with 90% placement record. My plan is to take on-campus placement

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure varied from course to course and my fees in the 2021 batch were 90,000 per semester and 2000 in examination fees. As such I am not aware of any fee increase policy but yes every freshman year fees get increased. The fee for the 2024 batch is 135700/- INR + 2500 Examination Fee + 2000 Security. I got a 40% Scholarship Personally by taking the CUCET exam. So my fee is 54000 Semester fee and 2500 examination fee. there are many scholarships present Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) based on performance, Post Graduate Scholarship for Professional Courses for SC/ST, JEE mains based scholarship, CAT based, Sports, defense and many more scholarships according to percentile, marks, and eligibility. No, I haven't taken any campus employment yet but there are opportunities in different sectors like IEEE, CSI, CU Marketing Team, Cu event Team, and Teaching Assistant Stipend.

Campus Life

4

Campus life at Chandigarh University is lit. The infrastructure is good, every block has its library and 2 central libraries where you can go and study, read novels, newspapers and the Labs are also good with the latest models also here we have many company-oriented labs like Oracle, Virtusa and IBM many more. There are tuck shops at every corner of the university for mid-day cravings. there are many events held in the university where many celebrities visit, EDM nights, and Tashan Nites, CU fest is the main annual event where there are many events departments and also tech fest where every department shows their own technical aspects. The books in the library have a vast range and journals are also available for this we have a mechanism on CUIMS where we can check the availability of books. The classrooms have projectors, whiteboards, AC's and speakers for projectors. Yes, there so many student groups which are solely maintained and run by students like shunya club, orators club etc.

Admission

The admission process was smooth actually. The university consultants help you with every question and problem you are getting at ease from your home. Also Application process was easy because you had to apply on their official site www.cuchd.in which is very much maintained and the paperwork was smooth. The entrance test I gave was CUCET, the Common Entrance Test. This test is actually for the scholarship which aids your fees per semester. The aspect which I didn't like was the fees for the CUCET exam. 1. The Eligibility Criteria for My course was 60% aggregate in Class 12th. 2. There is a one-stop solution for each question i.e.www.cuchd.in 3. Yes, there are a few reservations are there PG scholarships for SC/ST, Merit Scholarships, Scholarship for wards of defence personnel, Kalpana Chawala scholarships for Girls from Weaker Sections and many more 4. 2 hourly exams, 1 Mid Sem Practical, 1 Final Theory and 1 Final Practical. 5. So far I have nothing

Other Applied Colleges

Lovely Professional University - [LPU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Because Chandigarh University is accredited by NAAC A+ and also UGC approved, AICTE and its QS ranking is also higher. Also the scholarships are offered by Chandigarh University. Both being in same region I liked Chandigarh University better due to its go

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.
