Entrance Preview

Kerala Entrance Examination. My rank was 4000 in kerala entrance examination. Opted for Mechanical Engineering in the college through centralized allotment process.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is as set by University of Kerala. All aspects of Mechanical Engineering including production, Manufacturing, Thermal Science, Material Science are covered. Electives from Marketing management, Energy technology advanced computational techniques etc are available.

Internships Opportunities

As per Kerala university syllabus we don't have internship. We go for industrial training of around 15 days duration. Industrial visits are also permitted. Stipends are not provided for industrial training.

Placement Experience

Campus placements are amble. Since technopark is near by almost all IT companies come to college. Name a few we have Infosys, UST Global, QBust, TCS, UZigma etc. Packages vary but on an average around 3-4 Lakhs/annum.

College Events

College has various cultural and technical events. The highlight is "CrosRoads". It is a national level Cultural cum Technical event.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I am not ware of any scholarship/ loan facility neither has i availed any. But i am sure you can take education loans from nationalized banks.

Exam Structure

Exams schedules are as prepared by the university. Yes it will be a busy schedule during the period of exams.

Faculty

Faculties are all well qualified. They are dedicated and very helpful. For almost all subjects more than 35 lectures classes are available plus tutorial classes which are beautifully handled by the faculties.

An honest college review

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for placements. The top recruiters in it sectors are Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Tata Elxsi, Accenture, Oracle, Amazon, Wipro, UST GLOBAL, IBM. The top recruiters in other sectors are Mu Sigma, Ernst and young,, federal Bank, h and r block. Most of the placement are in it and related sectors. The average package is 4 to 6 lpa.The highest package is 34 lpa in Amazon. In 2024, 35 percent of students got placed. I will look to get campus placement in a reasonable package or I will try to get jobs by other means.

They provide placement packages from a minmum of 4lpa to 12 lpa.. But most of the students got 4 lpa packages, it is very difficult to crack higger packages, but most of the cs students got placement andd students of other departments palcement is not good.

My College days

Remarks:

I loved my department. But some of the management decisions made bad impacts on students and they hate the college. Faculties were good. As I already said 4 to 5 professors were so good in teaching and rest of them makes the learning experience a nightmare.

I had applied for saitgaits,amal jyothi and cet. Considering cet,the fee and placements are high but the discipline and structured way is lacking.Now considering saintgaits and amal jyothi,there are more opportunities in mbcet to explore.. mbcet is also in the town and easily approachable via public transport.mbcet has a disciplined approach to studies.comparing the hostels too mbcet has one of the best hostels. I was rejected in cet for cs dept as i didnt aquire the required rank..i was accepted in both others but decided to join mbcet due to its status in society.
