Entrance Preview

I wrote Kerala entrance exam for engineering in 2011 and my rank was 2712. Actually I wanted to choose mechanical engineering because the machines lab is one of the best in Kerala but I didn't got an admission in mechanical department instead. I joined in electrical department because last rank to get an admission in mechanical was below 2100.

Internships Opportunities

Unfortunately my college is not providing any type of internship programme. But all the students must do at least 15 days internship in between four years of study and students have to find it themselves by paying some amount of money to companies.

Placement Experience

Placements are good at my college we have one active placement cell with active volunteers. They always tried to bring lot of companies to our college. More than 75% of students got placements from campus interviews but most of them placed in IT sector .

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was very generous since it is a government college fees per year was Rs 6000 only and almost all students were getting lots of scholarships from government and fess was almost null.

There were lot of scholarships available for students.

Campus Life

Gender ratio is almost 60 boys to 40 and we have some college mates from Noth east states. There were lot of clubs like film club,debate club,environmental club etc to join and NSS is also very active in my college.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is very good .We have an office for alumni in college and they are doing lot of good things. Recently alumni association funded a new placement and training block and they are ready to help students both in financial and academic region. Some alumni work in MNC's usually bring companies to college for recruiting. Each year final year students have a chance to meet alumni during alumni day.

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

My honest review of ICET

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

nehru has implemented placement traninng from the start of the course itself, from first year itself we get to placement classes which made us adapt and get to know how interviews are conducted. from 4th year onwards i think students are eligible for placements and more than 75% of students gets placed every year

Navigating MACE: A student's journer Through Campus Life, Academics and Oppurtunities.

I chose this college over other colleges primarily for its autonomous status. This allows MACE to have more current and industry relevent curiculum unlike colleges with fixed university syllabus. Admission to MACE was based on keam rank. Although I had a good rank, it wasnt high enough to get my preferred branch in NIT calicut or CET.
