Likes

Campus life is good with new friends and environment
Faculty is also cooperative and guides well
Course is good and with good classrooms and well furnished labs

Dislikes

There are continuous classes from 9 to 4.30 and at the end of the day you're exhausted
Something is always under construction in the campus
Burden of Too many assignments and projects

Course Curriculum Overview

I was passionate for opting this course and also the university provides various internship opportunities The course opens up great opportunities with great teachers and positive environment As the course is semester system so exams are conducted every 6 months with msts in between

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Placement Experience

Students of 5th semester or above become eligible for campus placements Some of the companies visited are infosys, tata etc Around 60% students gets placement Highest and average package offered is 25 lakh and 8 lakh respectively

Fees and Financial Aid

There are no stipends available University provides scholarships through cucet scholarship exam The complete cost of education, including tuition, servive fees and other charges is 350000 INR per year.

Campus Life

Some of the monthly fests that are conducted are HACKEREARTH yearly fest includes CU FEST There are separate libraries for all the blocks and hostels The university provides wide range of sports and extra curricular activities for students

There 9 floors and each floor contains 24 rooms 2 lifts facilities are available Food quality is 7/10 Each room contains separate almirahs , study tables and chairs and a common washroom for 5 rooms Every hostel have a gym at ground floor

Eligibility of the course is 12th pass Application form are available on university website Application form fees is around 1000 The frequency of Exam is such that it is conducted twice a year and difficulty level is medium

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
