Remarks

The cutoff for the B.Tech CSE general category was 413 in IIT-JEE Advanced. The admission process required us to submit the required documents like our jee adv marksheet, anti-ragging affidavits, and medical certificates.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum includes cse relevant courses like basic programming course, design and analysis of algorithms, microprocessors, operating systems etc. It also includes some courses like psychology, economics etc which are fine. But it also includes completely irrelevant courses like energy engineering and thermodynamics. etc. They keep tutorials aside from classes for assignment submission and doubt discussion with teaching assistants.

Internships Opportunities

We get companies like google, Microsoft, jpmc which offer a stipend of around 1.2 lakhs per month and also quant companies like graviton, quantbox which offer around 3-3.5 lakhs per month and we have roles like sde intern, data analyst etc.

Placement Experience

We get campus placements in 7th semester and internships in 5th semester and we get companies like google ,microsoft, Qualcomm,jpmc,..etc. and also some quant companies like graviton ,quantbox etc. In cse almost 90% students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The complete cost takes around 3-4 lakhs including my expenses per year and we have tuition waiver for ews which is 2/3rd and complete for sc/st . We also have some scholarships based on merit which needs you to maintain cgpa greater than 7.5 and be from economically weaker sections.

Campus Life

The overall experience is awesome as we have many clubs some of which are pag which is based on competitive programming, Infosec based on cybersecurity ,sdslabs,mdg for development, dsg for data science ,dance clubs,drama clubs,..etc. we also have student clubs where we can play table tennis ,foosball ,snookers ,.etc. We also have many well mentained sports facilities.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are old but have all the basic necessities and we have campus wifi and don't expect much from mess but it is good some times. We do have a variety of items but they are average at best. Registration process is simple and affordable.

Hostel Fee: INR 42000 per year

GEU and CSE ho hand in hand!

Placement Experience:

LTI, Polaris, Deloitte, Infosys, Oracle, Nvidia and what not are there for placements here. Even the Fintech and finance companies like the Axis Bank, Shri Ram Capital Finance and all are here. Thus, placements worth 10-50 lakhs is quite possible at GEU.

Geu provides best intenrships!

Placement Experience:

In GEU placements are like such that we don't have to bother at all. We are approached by placements cell in the 5th semester and then are trained for the whole month and then university urges us to go for internships to have the required exposure and have a CV which can impress the recruiters first hand. Thus, we get placement which median as of now is 8.5 lakhs.

GEU has the best Placements!

Placement Experience:

McKinsey, Oracle, NVIDIA, Google, TCS, Deloitte and many more come here for placements. Around 15-20 students in 2025 had placements worth over 40 lakhs and four students managed to grab placements worth 50 lakhs or more.

The placements of the students in the college is satisfactory. This year the students of third year grabbed a placement of 18 LPA . Wipro and TCS visits the campus frequently. The highest package is of 43 LPA and the average stands at 6-7 LPA.. the percentage of the placements is nearly 90-95%..

I didnt applied for any other colleges other than some iits which were iit bombay, kanpur, roorkee, guwahati. Just these four and nothing because i got a decent rank in JEE Adv 2025. IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. Moreover i choose it because of it's weather and location. Rest all things are similar to all top iits. Nothing is less in iit roorkee. You have to give jee main then jee advanced. 1st year opinion of IIT Roorkee

I took admission from JEE (Main+Advance).Form could be found on NTA website. Some reservation benefits were , i got a bit higher brancher even though my rank was lower. Mains timing are morning shift and evening shift. As for advance it runs all day for 6 hours(with a break of 2 hour in between). Mains is easy , advance is a bit difficult....Read More
