Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

so i am from talcher thats a place in odisha where many mining activity occur of coal . so from childhood i have a good interest in mining but in fact my rank is thats enough for getting a seat only in nit rourkela in mining department and likely other college like good college here also their is been updated in the course time by time . currently i dont know where they should update but i think it is good enough as its placement rate is increasingly rapidly .exam are like if you studyid for it it would not be difficult but if you have not studied it ay occur problem to you

Internships Opportunities

3.5

you can get internship after second year and third year ppo alsi given to some students . many companies given uiintership opportunity like amazon , google , mcl , microsoft ,adobe , american express given internship oppurtunities but this is tough to crack for this you have to secure good cgpa in exams.

Placement Experience

3

placement is descent here .you can see n a good placement rate in cse, ece,ei and ee branch core placement is not good enough avg of cse has been increased this year from 20lakhs per annum to 24lakhs per annum and overall placement also increased.

Fees and Financial Aid

As inflation increasing tution fee also increasing day by day . so have eight semestar so for eight semestar you have to pay nearly 8.1lakhs as a general student . but you can apply for tution fee waiver if you your family income is less than 6lakhs if your family income is less than 6lakhs you have to pay only one third of the fees here also you can get many scholarship that is private or government if you are eligible like if you have secure good mark in 12th board exam or if you belongs to ews as a btech student you dont get any stipend but if you are from outside india you may get some stipend

Campus Life

3.5

campus life is one of the best thing in nit rourkela it is the largest nit of india and second largest engineering college after iit kharagpur its area i think 1600Aacres in this vast area you can do any thing you want it is full of greeenery also which feel heaven in summer . it has also a big library which stored more than thousands of book and journal you can get whatever you want classroom is like normal entral AC fitted with slopy classroom with a smart board and projector here you will get a olympic size swimming pool which will give you wings to swim in the swimming pool it has also a good basket ball court and a tennsi court in sports overally it is better but some improvements is required is terms of coach of different sports. a new indore sports comple is being constructed which will be finish in 2 or 3 year.

Hostel Facilities

3

hostel facility is nice here .first year student will get a separate hostel from senior which is the largest hostel of asia after second year everybody will get a mix hostel where 2 nd 3rd and 4th yar student are lived. you can get a married hosrtel if you are doing phd here. i think in 4th yearyou may get a single occupancy room but in 1st 2nd and 3rd year you will never be getting single occupancy room. meal is normal year not good enough but you all know nowhere is served good food in hostel life so you have to adjudst here

Admission

You can enter any nit through only by taking jeemains exam and as a top nit college you have to secure a good rank for admit here so for get a seat in nit rourkela you have to score less than 500000 as a general catagory student that is more than 92 percentile in jeemains after getting your rank card you have to apply through josaa and after soe days you can get a seat allocated here i think application fees is 64 thousand which will be cut down in your semester fees but i think josaa will take 4 thousand of rupees from the application fees. Another thing in all nit there is a home state reservation allowed so if you completed your class 12th from odisha you can get a good reservtion here their is also reservation for girls . for sc and st student also reservation for obc ncl general ews student their is midsem and endsem exam happened like other college i think here you will get less gap for exam like for first midsem exam we got only 1 month of gap

Stduents get eligible from 5th semester for placements peaking at 6th semester of the college. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Tiger Analytics etc came but big pacakge placements offers are low . The highest package was 32 LPA and the average goes to 5-6LPA. The percentage goes to 90 % for placements. After getting degree you can go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are generally good and improving, especially for students who stay consistent with coding, projects, and internships. In my college, students usually become eligible for campus placements from around the 7th semester (4th year), while many students start getting internship opportunities and pre-placement offers from the 5th–6th semester itself depending on skills. Every year, companies from the software and IT domain visit the campus for roles like Software Developer / SDE, QA, Analyst, Web Developer, and sometimes Data-related roles, and students also get offers through off-campus applications. Some of the common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, along with product/startup opportunities depending on the year, and multiple students receive more than one offer as well. The highest package and average package vary every year and depend a lot on branch, performance, and market conditions, but overall the college provides decent placement support and training sessions like aptitude, DSA guidance, and interview preparation. The placement percentage is also fairly good for students who actively participate in the placement process, while the rest generally go for higher studies or off-campus roles. After completing my degree, my plan is to either secure a good software developer role through campus/off-campus and build experience, or if I feel more interested academically, I may prepare for higher studies or competitive exams along with improving my skills.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
