Dislikes

Hostel is a bit distant from college, so we get late often
The Hostel Superintendent Mj is very strict
Laptop is not allowed which does not let us relax and chill

Course Curriculum Overview

The new curriculum has helped me in learning new subjects along the major subjects. The diverse aspect of the curriculum will help students to change their course subjects in the future. Although the curriculum is good flaws like too much work load on students can be seen. Tests are frequently one being taken in mid of the semester while other in the end.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am having a SVMCM scholarship where I am getting an annual of 18k p.a. Monthly along with the tuition fees I am a sum total of 4k to the college. I am not availing any other job or any source of side income at this moment.

Campus Life

RKMRC Narendrapur holds annually variety of events. Sports including inter-depertmental and inter-hostel football, cricket, volleyball, badminton etc. are being held. E-library with wifi access to all is also present helping students in improving their knowledge. A central library as well as college library is present for long and short term books. Labs for different department containing new and developed machines are also present.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel which I stay in has electricity 24/7, with two fans in each room and a LED light which provides ample light to study without disturbance. Bathrooms are clean and has one geyser each. Food quality is quite good and simple. Hostel fees is affordable at ?4K per month.

Admission

Eligibility for this course was Higher secondary pass and 60% number for mathematics. I found the application form from the website of RKMRC. Application fees was 500 rupees. 15th June I applied for for entrance exam of RKMRC. There are Reservation benefits for ST, SC, OBC. Exams occur 2 times per semester.One is mid sem and another is end sem exam. The reservation system should be cut off as many good students don't get chance due to the reservation system. In place of that many students get admitted who are not upto that limit. I know that the reservation system is for maintaining balance of students from various caste but some take this as opportunity while other students who are really eligible don't get the chance to be admitted.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is impressive as it includes all the importaint subjects of several entrace exams. On extra the college provides internships for real world problem solving. In case of Computer Science students are working at NIC, CU, IIEST, NIT Patna, IISC and many other as interns. Statistics Honours at Ramakrishna Mission Residential College(Autonomous)

There a certain criteria to get admission to this college. 1)You must have a certain cut-off mark in your board exam(HS). If you have then you are eligible for the entrance test. 2) After clearing the test you will be qualified for admission here. Within a few months(2 or 3) after the board exam, the online form filled up for the admission test starts on the college's website. You just have to visit a few times on the college website after the board exam for admission details and exam dates. Application fees( per subject) : 500/- You can take exams on different subjects if you want.
