Course Curriculum Overview

All the courses are well planned and organized, and classroom lectures closely follow the curriculum, We have the separate course on various laboratory in different departments. The objective of every course is to provide exposure to practical and daily life problems. We have PhD/research scholars working under faculties on different areas. Research areas include microbiology, Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) ..etc {actually I am not very much aware of research going on, in other departments ... as they tend to keep it secret ! :-) } Every department offer Electives courses in its specific areas(like CFD, Machine learning, mathematics courses etc ) , which is open to all students irrespective of their department. Additionally, we have humanities electives as well (like Economics, Western Philosophy, German A1 etc).

Internships Opportunities

The institute provides internship according to research requirement in departments. Also, It sends students to other institutions for internship programs. The experience of Engineers much more fascinating in the field than in the lectures during Internship.

Placement Experience

Since this institute started in year 2015, the first batch is yet to graduate. Therefore no details regarding placement is available. However we have a separate team working in contacting companies and other institutes for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

We have scholarship programs. I did not avail of any scholarship till yet.

Hostel Facilities

Every student resides in Hostel. Currently there are 3 hostels and every two students share one room. The details of the hostel fees can be found on the document shared earlier. Food here is quite good. Actually, north Indians find it little difficult to adjust with south Indian food and culture but it can be adjusted with time.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

The first batch (of 2015) is yet to graduate. However, we have an alumni network from other IITs.

Faculty

All faculties here are well experienced and are engaged in some research work. All students are free to interact and give their ideas to all faculties. Faculties are very helpful. The teaching is based on conceptual learning and practical applications. It's all about self-learning rather than spoon feeding.

Experience as a first year student at NIT calicut

Placement Experience:

Here we recieve a really high number of offers this year it was around 970, The highest package received this year was 44.42 lpa and average was around 12 lpa Accenture, Bharat electronics limited are few of the top hirers, intel and nvidia also hire from here they are more relevant for ece students The percentage of students getting placed is 81% I will most probably try for a direct placement, I'm not thinking about higher studies(MTECH)after UG but that might change in the future

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Placement Experience:

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.
