I liked the fest and entertainment policy as one not only gets under the books but also gets to enjoy the outside world.
I liked the culture they created here it is very friendly.

Dislikes

First year professors are not well knowledgeable
Stais as i have to get stairs to get on the 7th floor which is very tiring

Course Curriculum Overview

Saying about that aspects of currriculum there are not as such but I was not able to crack jee mains so have to get have at the end but yes I can say its not that bad as it is portrayed as some students who dont want to study and just came here for fun end up losing the placement round but either way abundance of opportunities.The improvement should be on assignment basis as you will have a lab daily for which you have to write worksheets all day long.

Internships Opportunities

Accenture , deollite and tcs are the common companies that offer internships you just have to focus on the projects you've made because to them it is the only thing that matters so start building projects like a little game a website replica or anything unique of your interest.

Fees and Financial Aid

So the fees remains the same for the entire program as it was on your admission time.For me as i got 30% scholarships so my fee goes around 90000 per sem including examination fee as in total it will be about 7,20,000 and also there are much opportunities for internships.

Campus Life

A loads and loads of fest like every month there is some bollywood star comming and the great cu fest in march . There are libraries in every block and one major library under construction and about sports i will say its ok not too good but every student is given the chance to run or join any club for their interest.

Hostel Facilities

You are provided with daily cleaning , wifi , weekly pest control and hostel exclusive events mess food is also good at many times but sometimes it just not adds up so you end up getting to eat from canteens hostels are not affordable you have to pay for mess and rental collectively otherwise its clean and good to go.

Hostel Fee: INR 138000 per year

Admission

Eligibility for the course was aggregate 60% marks in 10+2 and an additional scholarship test as cucet in which one can avail scholarship upto 100% and there is no such passing criteria for that exam it is only for scholarships.The exam was quite difficult and is taken by a procecutor all other details are availible on their website.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
