Course Curriculum Overview

3

The academics in the college are not that much good you have to do all your works even the teachers are looking like a student they are not experienced only few teachers are truly deserve calling as a teacher like aptitude teachers are really good they have very much knowledge in their subject. The extract ko curricular activities are good here if you are interested in that then you can like and achieve in this field there are many clubs societies are working for students like IEEE, NSS, NCC and many more. The middle term exams are about 1 hour and the final is of 3 hours.

Placement Experience

3.5

The students are weable to participate any campus placement from the fifth semester. When I am studying here company is like cognizant IBM are visited here but if I tell you truely only few students get their placement on good salaries otherwise whole students are placed on very less salaries like 3-4 LPA. About the number of students are percentage of students placed in the companies are not genuinely disclosed by the college because here in CSE department including a specialisations have around 40 to 50 thousand students so it is difficult for me to give you the right numbers of a student placed. Talking about my plans is that anyhow taking a good placement in any company and after that enhancing my skill getting more opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you take admission on what price the price will be same for the whole course what the increase in the price of exam fee as they did when I am studying here the exam fee was before 1500 and now it is of 2000. They also take some extra charges like if you want to get placement in the college campus then you have to pay 10000 rupees a part from your tuition fee otherwise you will be not allowed to sit in the placement drive. If any scholarship provided by your state government then that is eligible here in Chandigarh University but you are to apply on that portal they only verify from their side and also if your parents are single then they will provide you 10% discount on nutrition fee as single parent child. The college cards are doing the really great job after that the cleaning workers but the staff which are on higher post are not very helpful like PVC they just ignore you not listen what you are saying because I have encountered that situation when my father was died.

Campus Life

4

On the festival sites college helds many festival festival like after sometime you will not feel to go many superstars singers came here for the year promotions and also college celebrate many traditional festivals of other states and obviously good DJ party for the freshers. Well classrooms are very well maintenance well ventilated and also this time 2024 AC's are installed in the classroom I am talking about b1 block building of the campus they have good libraries with computer systems. I appreciate told you there many clubs and society which help you to enhance your skills and also the provide you the links and facilitate to participate in different levels for any co curricular activities You cannot create any your own clubs or groups there are groups or clubs already have for you can join them.

Admission

There is no cut off for getting admission in the Chandigarh University, they take exam for the scholarship on the basis of percentage scored you will get this scholarship if you not a scored any thing even you are eligible to take admission You can visit on your official website of the Chandigarh University and call them in the admission portal they will provide you and guide you all the procedures and if you ask they can give you the 50% discount on the application form which is of 1000 rupees. If you belongs to other States of India rather than Punjab then you will not get benefit from the college you are treated as a general category. Exam difficulty level is intermediate and the exam timing is of 3 hours. On the time of taking admission they not give the information that if you detained or failed in any subjects or ascord below the 7.5 CGPA your scholarship will be gone.

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.
