Course Curriculum Overview
The specific aspects that influenced my decision of taking computational and data science engineering course was the expanding scope of the data science in today's world. And the college is giving us the preparation in a perfect way that we can be well placed in the top companies during our placements.
Internships Opportunities
I don't know much about internship opportunities because I am still a first year student. But I can say this that there is vast internship opportunities for the students from 3rd year . The students are paid with a good amount by the companies for the internship.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for the placements and write the internship exam form their 3rd year. There are hundreds of companies visiting our college for placement like Google, Microsoft,etc. The highest package was 57lakh and average package was 14lakh. 95% percent students are placed every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are tution fees , institute fees, mess fees, etc to be paid every semester during the admission. My total fees payment ranges around 40000 per semester. There are many scholarships given to the students to support the financial status . I have not undertaken any campus employments.
Campus Life
Firstly in our college their are so many fests and festivals celebrated. In the month of March their is incident fest and engi fest , etc. There are so many well versed books in library which helps us in providing knowledge of all the courses.The classrooms all furnished with nice ventilation.Our college ranks the top 3 positions in the sports held at different levels.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is also very good. We are provided with a double sharing rooms . The rooms are nicely furnished and ventilated with windows, doors, fans , lights, beds, cupboards,etc . The allotment of the hostel was done during the admission.Hostel is more affordable for the fees we pay.
Admission
Admission process was well organised by considering only students of 2 courses per day . In that firstly we had the submission of documents and then payment of fees and then the hostel and room allotment. I had written JEE mains entrance exam to come to NITK. I got seat under the PWD category reservation. The timings of the entrance exam was of 3 hours.
