The experience of IMPS College of Engineering and Technology

The curriculum that influenced my decision was I was inclined to study in core engineering sector and I got a seat in that particular college.The curriculum was average and moderate real world applications were provided by the college.The labs and the faculty could be developed and more skill the college could bring in in terms of faculty and teaching methodology.The exams were conducted after 6 moths twice a year which is a semester wise examination system.

There was no such scholarship program available as per my knowledge, and neither there was any financial assistance that was provided, tution fees were increased each semester by 5000.00/- after two years of the course commencement, and there were no campus employment opportunities or neither was any stipend being awarded.

There was an annual fest being conducted in the college, books were available in the library, and sports was being played on the campus grounds like cricket, football, and basketball. There wasn't any scope for social groups and student portals.

The rooms were quite small and 4 students needed to stay in that room with one washroom, the quality of meals were below average, registration process was with the college admission only and we rented a room in Malda town for a while.

The application process was basically WBJEE and the seats were alloted by the counselling process that was held centrally by the WBUT. After confirming the seat in the counselling process then a recomendation letter was issued and that letter was presented to the college and basis of that admission was given. Any valid rank in AIEEE or other state level entrance exam was also considered for other candidates for profile based selection and admission to the college.
