Good opportunities for students in career field they also provide campus placement...They even focus on the extra curriculum activities of students...faculty is too good in every department

Dislikes

The things that I personally disliked is attendance pressure. If the attendance is less than 75 percent then He/she wont be allowed to sit in the exam

Bsc Microbiology is a good course and also very interesting...There are lots of opportunities in the field of Medicine Manufacturing, vaccine development, food microbiology and water testing and Research

Class Size: 20Course Fees: INR 70000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee is Rs 70000 per semester but due to girls scholarship the fee deducted by Rs 5000 so for girls the course fee is 65000 per semester and almost 4 lakh per year....And also scholarship is given to the students who have scored more than 8.00 CGPA in the end semester exam.

Campus Life

There are Many extra co- curriculum club for students like Music Club, Dance club, various kinds of sports, Acting, entrepreneurship, Biotechnology club and Many more.. And also in the library there are good collection of books.. Every year our college celebrates an Annual fest called ADINOVA

I study in Adamas university in Bsc Microbiology course....I took their admission test AUAT and the passing mark is 50 and there I scored 70/100...The fees of my course is 70000 but with girls scholarship of Rs 5000 I have to pay only 65000

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

Placement Experience:

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

Placement Experience:

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

My experience at St. Xavier's

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course theory helps us gain a solid understanding of the subject matter. Film studies and Mass Communication theory classes has laid down the foundation of the subject- from what is a shot and the kinds of shots and angles, to the beginning of radio in India and essays by CS Pierce and John Berger. The course also includes practical classes in the sound labs, editing labs and we will learn to use a camera, as one of the things we will have to do in this course is make films of our own.
