Remarks

Good for bookish students. No practical oriented teaching strategies. Good management. Not good for those who wish to enjoy college life.

Entrance Preview

I opted for this college because I didn't have many ideas about the colleges in Bangalore. When I came to Bangalore I heard of this college a lot from many sources. Another reason for taking is the COMEDK counseling. I wanted either computer science or Information Science and Engineering. This was only the option left. So I chose.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Overall good experience. The campus is really good infrastructure wise. Gender ratio almost the same male and female (1:1). Extracurricular activities are only for those who wish to go for that. Not much exposure in this field. I cannot say much about this as I was least involved in this field. If u just want to study go for this institution.

Internships Opportunities

There wasn't any internship provided by the college side. If you are interested in your search of your own. They won't even manage attendance for that.

Placement Experience

4

Placement quite well actually. There is a cut off of 60 %. If u scored 60% as an aggregate in the engineering then you will be eligible to seat for the recruitment processes. Many companies come for the recruitment and provide a package of around 3 to on an average.

College Events

4

Actually, I had never been the part of any of the events. But based on the conversations with my friends, there were events like technical quizzes, fests and many other technical,non- technical, cultural and non-cultural activities or events. There are not many events but it's there.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't this any scholarship is provided from the college side. Instead, they will ask you to pay on or before time without any excuses. Even if u have some financial problems in the final year, I don't think they gonna help you out.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus is really good infrastructure wise. Gender ratio almost the same male and female (1:1). Extracurricular activities are only for those who wish to go for that.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel is really nice as per the information collected from my friends. I will not be able to provide much information regarding Hostel as I didn't live in the hostel. But I personally knew the hostel in charge as he was the part of the mechanical faculty team. He was a great person to help you out in anyway he could.

Alumni/Alumna

Not all the seniors but were cooperative. If you approach them, they will definitely help u out. I can say senior students were better than a few faculties.

Exam Structure

The examination is the best part of this college. Few faculties are not at all bothered about completing the syllabus. They will just wait for the exam time to teach you a lesson if you had some arguments with them previously. The examination is taken very strictly and corrections depend on the faculty.

Admission

First I wrote the entrance test which was based on 11 & 12 basic maths, physics and chemistry. Around one month after the test result came which was followed by a counselling process. Based on the marks scored in COMEDK I got Dayananda Sagar Institutions.

Faculty

3

Not all but few faculties were extremely cooperative and friendly. Because of these few the college is doing good. Rest is like full of ego, least technically stable. They will always try to catch you doing some mistakes and they will try their level best to make it a big issue and create some drama.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Placement Experience:

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.
