Course Curriculum Overview
BE engineering course is a bit outdated at MJCET is affiliated with Osmania University, there needs to be a change in the curriculum. the curriculum should be designed according to the branch in which the student gets admitted rather than teaching the student all the subjects which are not related to their course, the faculty is very good and there are some subjects like chemistry, physics, BEE, workshops, and labs which are not useful for the students of the computer science branch. some subjects are related to computer science and the faculty is very good at teaching those subjects according to the industry standards. the frequency of the examinations is 6 months. each semester will be of 4 months with small vacations in between.
Internships Opportunities
there are internships offered after your 3rd year where you get exposure to the industry in which you will be working after getting placed. the inters will get paid according to the work they will be offered.
Placement Experience
after 6th semester the students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies come and offer the on-campus placements like Flipkart, Amazon, TCS, Infosys, etc. highest package was 28LPA which was offered by Flipkart and the average package is around 3LPA. percentage of the students who are sitting for placements and getting placed is 90%. eligibility to sit for placements is zero backlogs at the time of placement. plans after getting the degree are either doing MTECH or MBA abroad.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
there is no tuition fee increase policy and they charge a very minimal amount for ID cards and examination fees. we have to pay a sum of 1,25,000 for each year which sums to 5,00,00 for 4 years and there are examination fees which sum to around 1500 for 4 years and there will be no other compulsory charges making the cost of our education to around 5,30,000 approximately. there are scholarships for the people who get a seat through the EAMCET examination and they don't need to pay the college fees as the government of Telangana provides the scholarship.
Campus Life
There are a lot of technical and non-technical fests held in the college every year. the technical fests are held twice a year and non-technical fests are held more than twice every year. there is a huge library on campus where we get access to a lot of books, journals, newsletters, newspapers, course materials, and much more. the classrooms are huge, neat, and clean with proper facilities. there are led projectors in each class for presentation purposes which enhances the teaching. there are sports clubs in the college and there are a few tournaments held in the college every year. sports include football, cricket, volleyball, badminton, and many more. there are many student clubs which we can join and improve our technical and social skills like speaking which can hugely impact our personality soon after we get out of the college.
Admission
Admission was through the TS-EAMCET examination. the exam will be conducted for the students who are pass-outs of 12th standard. after the EAMCET examination, we get the ranks according to the shifts and marks .later we get the option to select the college of our choice according to the individual priority order. after that, we have to submit the required documents such as the 12th class memo,aadhaar card, EAMCET rank card, caste certificate, and 10th class memo with transfer certificates. after the verification process, we are allotted with the college according to our EAMCET rank and cutoff. we get the scholarships according to the certificates submitted. the exam's difficulty is somewhere between medium to hard and computer-based examination. the syllabus is vast and the question paper will be designed from the syllabus of the 11th and 12th classes. there are a few areas in which there need to be improvement in the admission process such as certificate verification and reallotment.
