Course Curriculum Overview

In intermediate I had decided to join in b. Tech because I am interested in engineering . Then I preferred Chandigarh University. In Chandigarh University course are very good but teaching methods is not good according to me. In Chandigarh University exam will be medium.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 180000 per year

Internships Opportunities

TCS, DXC, WIPRO, ACCENTURE, IBM, DELOITTE etc They all give stipend between 15k to 30k. After that some give ppo. Projects should be related to company role and there requirements so, make sure you make projects related to company role

Placement Experience

Chandigarh University have good reputation. But according to placement Chandigarh University is not good for placements. Due to resersion. Only 20% people only getting placements. Highest package is about to 40 to 50 lakhs

Fees and Financial Aid

In Chandigarh University fee is very good. For the freshers they will provide scholarship. The scholarship they can give 100% also according to entrance exam and cgpa. For CSE one semester fee is 120000.

Campus Life

Chandigarh University conduct club activities and always supports to students in annual functions and cultural activities. Chandigarh University always ready to do all these type of activities. Chandigarh University have good grounds and they also support the students in sports also

Hostel Facilities

In Chandigarh University hostel food is average taste. But the quality of the food is good. They also provide south indian food for the students who came from south. The registration process is first we have to take admission then they will give hostels.

Hostel Fee: INR 89000 per year

Admission

In CU it was very easy to get admission in Chandigarh University. They will give admission according to intermediate marks. And they will provide entrance exam. Need to pass 12 th with 60 percent. We will get application in social media platforms. The entrance will be in 1 hour.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
