To get admit for an m.tech level course GATE examination is required. But I could not qualify it. So I had to appear for a separate examination conducted by NIRMA university. My rank was 32 and I got admission on rank merit basis.I chose thermal engineering course because I am interested in power sector, heat transfer and refrigeration. Thermal engineering covers all this fields in detail. I chose NIRMA university because it was best college for engineering in gujarat. I belong to ahmedabad and cooage is also located in ahmedabad. Also It has a great placement records.

Our course content was decided by proffers having east experience in teaching field. It was very similar to IIT syllabus. Course content covers all the topics which is required to be focused in mtech level.We had a lot of electives to be chose frim like, Refrigeration Air-conditioning, Thermal insulation, Modelling of thermal systems. Research methodology etc .I chose refrigeration in 1st sem and thermal insulation in 2nd sem. They both were superb subjects .

NIRMA has very good contects in industries that student go for summer training in the company and also do their project work there. I was sent to synergy agro tech private limited, ahmedabad for summer training and then I was offered PROJECT/INTERNSHIP their of 1 year. Generally stipend of 8500-10000 is given to students based on company.
