Remarks

The management of the college is good but the only problem is that the management work is quite slow.

Entrance Preview

I opted for this college because I got the best placement records for this college and it was also very near to my home. This college provides me the best environment to learn things and to explore my capabilities. Also, there are different clubs here which help me in participating in many events that help me in growing my skills.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum of this college is very good as it provides us the best knowledge divided in a proper manner. We get a great knowledge here as we are more focused on practical knowledge rather than cramming things. Also, our college conducts the session all exams two times a semester which is very helpful.

Internships Opportunities

Our college provides different pieces of training and internships. Even after the first year, the college organized a one month training for HTML and OOPS and that is free of course. Though no stipend is provided the charges are also not there.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are the best part of this college which attracted me. The placement records are awesome but the placements are in computer science. The highest package last year was of 31.77lakh from Amazon. The placements are good but the sad part is they are best only of CSE.

College Events

3.5

There are different events organised in the college. 1.Parivartan which is the beggest event of college. 2.CGC MUN 3.Hackathon 4.Freshers And many other small events in which different stars perform like Ninja, Badshah and many more. All these events are very awesome and enjoyable.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of this college is quite in budget as compared to other private colleges. The fee structure looks expensive but when compared to other colleges,it is very low. The fees are Rs.43000 per semester. Is we compare this fees with some other private colleges nearby like Chikara,it is very less.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are loan facilities from different banks and the whole procedure is done by the college. Also, if you take admission through PTU counseling, the fees of the college would be very low as compared to normal fees.

Campus Life

3.5

The gender ratio of the college is good.In my class, out of 60 students, around 25 are girls. Also the students are from different states which provides a great diversity. There are different club s in the college which provides us with a lot of competitions like debates, paintings, computer gaming, robotics and many other.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors of the college are very helpful to us as they never deny from helping us with any problems. The biggest thing is that there is no ragging at all in this college.

Exam Structure

The exams are conducted twice a year as per the schedule of PTU. Our college conducts the sessional exams twice in a semester for good preparations of the exam. This procedure helps us to prepare for the exams.PTU conducts the exams in May and November.

Admission

The best procedure to get admission here is through PTU counselling. But I was not known about this at my admission time,so I got admission here on the basis of my marks in my 12 class. For getting admission in computer science, minimum 75% marks are compulsory.

Faculty

4

The faculty of this college is very nice and helpful. They are always ready to help us whenever we are in need. The method of teaching is also very good and the best thing is that they never deny us whenever we ask them about any knowledgeable thing.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
