Course Curriculum Overview

The main aspect I took my branch Electronics and communications is because of its placements and also it will become one of the most demanded in the future. The curriculum prepares us very well. No improvement is needed as everything is perfectly fine and teaching methods are also fine.

Internships Opportunities

As I am first year,I don't know much about the internship drives.But I do know that intership stipends upto 1.5 lakh/month was received by students of NITC. There are so many patents that we keep receiving day by day.

Placement Experience

From S6 students can sit for placements in our campus. There were so many companies who visited our campus.Some main companies are Mahindra,Tata,Oracle l, Microsoft etc... Last year highest package was around 55LPA Percentage of students getting placed is over 90. I'll go for Mtech.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee has increased comparing to last year.It is regularly increasing. The complete cost almost takes around 1.5 lakhs per year. There are variety of scholarships that aids in College including the E grantz for Kerala sc/st OBC. In campus, I was elected as the branch rep of ECE 23.

Campus Life

Annual/Cultural festival is known as RAGAM.It is south Indias largest festival. Technical festival is called TATHVA. Ragam comes around April May and tathva comes around sept Oct. Central library is very huge and there are so many collections available to refer. Classrooms are smart and neat. Our campus has its excellence is sports as well.We have won so many inter NITs. So many clubs are there.

Eligibility of the course is to write JEE and get a higher percentile Application is done through JOSAA EWS reservation (Economically weaker section) Difficulty level of exams in NITC is medium Nothing to improve

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
