Likes

Green campus. The campus is very good. It's not too big not too small.
Seniors are very helpful. If you need some guidance in academics or in coding, they're very helpful.

Dislikes

The curriculum, which is almost not so good in almost every college. So, yeah, it needs improvement.
Mess food. No food is even comparable to food prepared by our moms.

The curriculum is hectic and old, only because of some subjects, now it has become better. But I think it should be reformed drastically without any hesitation. More placement and internship opportunities should be provided to students.

Placement Experience

Majority of the people get placed, around 90% students get placed, some of them go for higher studies or prepare for govt. jobs or some of the do startups as well. Highest was around 25LPA. So, people get placed in majority cases.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students must be trained according to the current trend according to which companies are hiring. Mass recruiters come and some mid level companies providing 7-8 LPA come too, a few of good companies come too which give 10LPA+ offers to only a handful of students.

Campus Life

Its okayish, greenery is there, climate is good too. But sometimes due to academics it can be pretty hectic too, depends on the semester and teachers and subjects. Sports is okayish. If you wanna join NCC then it's good here. You can join.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are pretty good, they are clean and mostly hygenic, rooms are in good condition too. In mess, the food is okayish. They serve pretty good food during festivals or some event. The timings for hostels are equal for both boys and girls.

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

It was hectic during the admissions and counselling process. I had to watch a lot of youtube videos to see which college would be the best according to my rank. And the cut-offs were high that year. It was really hectic. I had no reservation as I was applying for a college which is not in my state.

RNSIT : Best college for students

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is very active in our college. Every year more than 30+ companies come to our college for recruitment . Our seniors from 7th semester get placed in many companies and before getting placed in the company our college offers internships to every student. Around 80 % of the students get placed in companies and work efficiently. The average package for civil engineering is 2.5 lakh per annum.

My College Review

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Great college with poor placement

Placement Experience:

Placements are the only bad thing about the college . Average ctc is only 4 lakhs per annum and only handful of students get actual placement.and rest get placed in either call center or training companies

Placement Experience:

Actually imnin 1st semester so I aks from seniors so they told me highest PKG of cs branch is 86LPA and machenical is 60 LPA they are off campus package and in campus 57 LPA for cse and they also give minor degree courses for placement chance is increased in cs branch 93 % students placed 125 compony visited in college in 2024-25 I plan I get job after b tech if I don't placed in campus so i tried EAE examination.

Honest review from a student who doesn't hate his college but at the same know there are multiple places for improvement

Placement Experience:

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%

Placement Experience:

i have 100 percent confidence on myself and the college placement .because it has 95 percent placement in it sector.the students are eligible from 5 or 6 th semester as of there.there are one of good companies who visit our college like amazon, tata, microsoft some years ago google also visited they tries to contact and give placements to students.it has 33 lakh highest and the median is good enough as 12 lakh anually.

I chose this college mainly as it is a deemed to be university and one of the top colleges in Bangalore. It's a autonomous college. There is a great advantage over other VTU colleges.
