- The beach, the late walls at night , the clubs , the college fests , the feeling of knowing there are no classes left for the rest of the day
- The experience of learning from the best and most experienced professors from the math department and exploring your interests in this field
- Playing basketball and badminton for long hours in the courts and going back to bed exhausted.
Dislikes
- The disorganised nature of things during fests and club events.there is not much punctuality at all.
- The sports facilities are not not the best and are not well maintained at all.
- The compulsory attendance and attitude of the professors towards it and the concept of fail by attendance of you don't have 75 percentage
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum for my courses mainly involves a mixture of mathematics and computer science, but mainly mathematics, which I love.The exams however are difficult for the program specific courses.application of this course will be taught in our third year
Internships Opportunities
Most tech internships involve learning DSA and having good knowledge of c++ and python.companies include oracle , JP Morgan chase , de shaw and caterpillar Inc , Bajaj , jio and Wells Fargo . Don't have knowledge of core internships.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for internships in their third year and placements in their fourth year.the highest package was around 54 lakh from CSE.normslly most students are placed by the end of placement season.names of companies are Goldman Sachs , de shaw ,texas instruments, caterpillar Inc and JP Morgan for example.
Fees and Financial Aid
Campus employment opportunities are thin for btech students in their first year.However there are ample scholarship opportunities for SC and st students.i am yet to explore campus roles of responsibility.total cost of studying is 7 lakh over 4 year
Campus Life
Club involvement in the first year is pretty minimal as you will only be given positions of responsibility in your second and third year's.There are chapters of exclusive clubs like IEEE, acm , ie ,iste and Rotaract club, of which only one can be chosen. There are hobby clubs like yoga , smile andusic club.The annual cultural fest is called incident and the annual tech fest is called engineer.
Hostel Facilities
In the first year each room is triple sharing with a table , cupboard and shelf for each person.the roomis comfortable with a plug point and lan port for each. The mess food is however not good and monotonous.the hostel fees is excessive for the provisions goven
Admission
Obviously, admission happened through JOSAA.After being allotted NITK , we had to come here for admission.The application process here was quick and efficient and course registration was finished in 2 hrs.
