Placement of this UNiversity id top notch.
Infrastructure of the campus will compel you to come to the university daily.
WE have wifi in each and every classroms.

Dislikes

Seventy five percent of the attendance.
Constant exams both theory and practical.

Course Curriculum Overview

I find the curriculum to be highly relevant and comprehensive. The curriculum prepares students like me for real-world applications and problems. In terms of improvement, I think they should continuously keep updating it like they are doing.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 240000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is constant from past few years. COmplete cost of education without scholarship would cost around 15 lacs. One can avail scholorship upto 100 percent, for that they have to give CUCET. I have take internships at intel corporation.

Campus Life

Name of tech fest is CU Fest. It takes around the month of feb or march. We have library in every block of the university. Classrooms are well equipped with projectors, wifi, ac duct, etc. There are many student ruun social groups like NSS.

Admission

The minimum eligibility for the course was to get 70 percent in physics, chemistry, and mathematics aggregate. You can find the application form on the website of the Chandigarh University, application fee is around 1000. I do not come under the reserve category so I do not know the benefits of it. CUCET is of the difficulty level of WBJEE and a slightly easier version of JEE Mains. Their admission team is top notch so they do not need any improvement in my opinion.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
