Good and clean campus with great labs and tecnical facilities
Good hostels with good food and clean toilets
Peer group and coding culture and cultural fest

Dislikes

Too busy schedule with lot of classes and labs
Dispensary being very far from hostelss.
Gender ratio is very poor as average engineering colleges

Course Curriculum Overview

Due to personal preferences i chose this course.Faculty student ratio is 1:20 and that's quite appreciable. Faculties have doctorate and post doctorate qualifications. Exams are conducted in duration of 1.5 months and it takes quite a lot of efforts to pass semester exams

Internships Opportunities

Companies like Amazon , flipkart , meta ,deloitte, tata steel , nalco , rourkela steel plant, netflix, SAIL, ONGC , BHEL etc provide internship with a good amount of stipend and placement opportunities

Placement Experience

In 3rd semester internship opportunities open up and in 4th year with projects and resume students are elligible for placements. Many companies visit and placement percentage is very good with a decent avergae package and offcampus placement opportunities are very good

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees hike is very minimal and it is very much affordable to study here and also allowances are provided on the basis of original reservation certificates. Campus offers scholarship from time to time and stipend is also provided to students pursuing PhD

Campus Life

Annual fest is NITRUTSAV and tech fest is INNOVISION and multi ethnic fest is COSMOPOLITAN. Library name is Biju Pattnaik library with great facilities and many books. Classrooms have AC. Sports facilities are great with sports fest as VRIDHHI.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are clean with 1tubelight 1 fan and racks with 2bed and are spacious. Meal quality is great with nonveg on specific days . Just name and few documents are required for registration in hostel. PG renting is not allowed

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

Admission in this college is done through selection in JEE MAINS.Application form ,dates could be found on official website of Jossaa, admission process could be improved by using AI and and automation.

For the 5th semester the students will become eligible for the campus placements. DE shaw, dell, oracle, Infosys are the different companies. Highest package is 42lpa and average is 10 lpa. Almost 90% students get placements. I want to get placed in a well reputed company.

From the semister the students got good cgpa .and as paer the cgpa the company give offer to the students. There are many companies visit to our college like nalco ,tech Mahindra, Infosys etc. Around 90 percent students get placement in different company. My plan after getting degree to settle and live a happy and healthy life.

Placement Experience:

According to seniors , placements are good and decent comparing to other nits . After 6 semester , company are hiring for placements . Many companies has visited more than enough . Highest package I seen in 23 is 1.12 CR in rubrik from senior . My plans after degree is doing sde job at company.

Comprehensive Review of Campus life at IIIT Bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placementfrom the beginning of 7th semester. Major companies that visit include Oracle, Media.net, Tiger Analytics, Incture, Quantiphi, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Informatica and many others. The highest package offered was 24 LPA by Zscaler, while the average package for the electronics branch stands at 6 LPA. This year placements were affected by the recession, resulting in approx 100 students remaining unplaced.

Things you must know before coming to NIT ROURKELA

Among all NIT's NIT ROURKELA is very high skilled engineering college for the students who wants to do mechanical engineering so i preffered this college This college has huge area and it is the second largest engineering college in India with an area of 2000 acres Admissions are perfectly held as per the branches and they will ask each and every cirtificate of you so they can verify easy I also applied for nit trichy but i failed and secondly i appoed for this college and i got and also i applied for suratkal nit which is also a great college for mechanicla engineering but the highest package for mechanicals engineering is from nit rourkela so i joined I got rejected from nit trichy because my rank was some what high and it reject for about 300 rank difference You can come through jee mains and for mtech through gate exam...Read More

I am in a good NIT, it also means I was a JEE aspirant once so its natural I was also willing like others to get into a good IIT. Discovering NIT Rourkela

I chose NIT rourkela based on my JEE rank, as this was the highest rated college I could get.It had good placements, had a high NIRF ranking and in comparsion to my other choices was the clear winner. The admission process takes place through JOSSA counselling for B.Tech.After being alloted a college on site registration takes place followed by hostel allocation and branch admission , a procedure that lasts about 6-10 hours.
