Remarks

College management, in particular, is not great, they are way too stubborn and old approached people They should change the way the think and move on

Entrance Preview

I took COMEDK, I was not very sure about taking the test, but I ended up taking it. I scored around 78 marks and got around 21k rank I selected Dayanand Sagar academy in my first round of counseling, but my brother told to opt for cmrit in second Round and I got the last seat of EEE in Cmrit, I now think back and think made a very good decision

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course structure is similar to what VTU follows, Soo i have liked the course structure starting from the basics science department in 1st year to studying network analysis, aec in third sem, to studying management and systems analysis and electrical designing in last sem

Internships Opportunities

College does provide a chance, many companies come during 6/7th sem for the internship. I didn't apply, but the pay is around 15k a month during the last sen

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement and job opportunities are good in my college with over 600/900 people eligible for placements for placed, with highest package of around 14L, and many top IT companies like delloite hpe dell vm vare sap labs lnt ibm all come to our college for placements

College Events

5

Our college is known for having some of the best and biggest college events in Bangalore, there are events for everyone covering all the dept of interested. We have our college cultural fest - CULTRA which is quite good and have been amazing when I joined college Then we have TEDxCMRIT which is arguably one of the best TEDx events in Bangalore. College doesn't support much but the students are dedicated and they pull of some of the amazing events in the college

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure when I joined was 1.35L for Eee dept, the fee structure keeps on changing every year when I joined it was quite good and cheaper than many other colleges in Bangalore. I paid 1.35l every year which was quite good, with all the things that we were getting, it was not feasible but not expensive as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

As far as I know, our college doesn't provide anything as such, they do provide something for the reserved caste and maybe for people whose parents income is less than 2.5 Lakhs PER YEAR, apart from that there's nothing offered from college, but you can use your government scholarships here

Campus Life

4

The first thing I saw was the campus and third was the kind of campus I always wanted, not very big, not very big The college does support lot of curricular activities There are basketball cricket football volleyball and many other sports which are well-marinated courts and a good college team

Hostel Facilities

3

Ah coming to hostel facilities now... Soo we have 2 types of a hostel in our college 1) Old hostel - which is kinda. Shabby place and I personally wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there, it looks like a Dharamshala 2) NRI hostel - this is the newly constructed hostel and pretty good, you have single room double sharing 3 sharing 4 sharing Coming to the food - oh well let's not even talk about how bad it was

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are helpful, there's a good network of alumni we get to interact with them sometimes and all college invites them to dept at the time to motivate the juniors or something.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is the pattern same as vtu Soo we have 1st internals 2nd internals 3rd internals. Then we have Lab internal exams And then we have mail VTU examination It's a sem based exam and for internals best, 2 out of 3 is considered Also, we have internals once in a month and they are being chilled, and teachers are very helpful.

Admission

Admission process is like any other Bangalore college First step was comedk counseling and then there I paid a dd of 50k Then with that receipt, i had to come to college and do all the procedures and got admission It was a very easy process and had to submit all my documents and few passport size photographs and had to submit the fees once i joined the college college admissions department is very supportive

Faculty

4.5

I would rate them 10/10 especially EEE department, the teachers here in my department are very friendly and they are very helpful They have been amazing. They have been very kind and generous all along, special mention to our HOD dept she is the coolest hod one can ever dream.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
