Course Curriculum Overview
Our faculty is one of the best in Bengal with five premium teachers and 3 guest teachers all of whom have completed their PhD from esteemed universies.I had Statistics as one of the subjects in classes 11 and 12 also I had my interest in Mathematics from the very beginning hence this course was obvious choice.Our college is a boys college.
Fees and Financial Aid
We are to pay very feasible amount of fees to the college for which we are provided the required books and other resources for our studies.Besides financially weak students are given concession and helped to apply for eligible scholarships (govt. and pvt.)
Campus Life
Our college consists of 12 departments each of which have different fest and tech fest held over the college year.Required books for each semester and all premium newspapers are available in the library.Students are encouraged to play all possible kind of sports both indoor and outdoor with our college teams participating in various tournaments.A large playing ground,swimming pool and a multigym is provided to the students for this matter.
Hostel Facilities
Each admitted student is provided with accomodation in one of the four hostels available in the college based on their department the cost of which is included in the fees paid to the college.The room consists of fans and lights and electrical facilities.We are provided meals three times a day of rather medium quality with food sorted as veg and non-veg and menu differing based on the day and season.Each hostel is under the care of a Bhavan Maharaj who supervises our morning and evening prayers in prayer hall
Admission
We were selected through an entrance test taken every year with students having minimum 60% in mathematics being eligible to appear in the test.Appliction form for this exam can be found in the college site.The process of selection is one of the best as it filters out the best of students for the course.
Interview Experience
Students were selected based on the marks they obtained in the entrance exam whose preparation can be done from previous year questions of the examination on college website.After exam a First list and waiting list is released where students in first list are selected and in case of vacancy students from waiting list is selected.
