Faculty of our department , who are very much interactive
The campus nature is very pleasent and it's green everywhere
The food is very unique and we can find different tastes

This is also food, some foods are not at all good
I didn't like the infrastructure, which is very old

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I got the rank according to the it. The faculty here are highly qualified and has lot of knowledge about the subjects and they are very much interactive with us. The faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:60. There are two term exams and the passing marks quiet low so it's easy

Internships Opportunities

The companies offer lot of roles like Technical, manageral roles are offered. The stipend is around 70 thousand average package per month is offred. The projects differs from person to person and their motives.

Placement Experience

Students from semester 7 are eligible for placements. Companies like Oracle, DE Shaw, others visited the college. They offer like average of 12-15 lakhs . The highest package is of around 60 Lakhs. Around 70 percent students are placed. My plan is to study for Group 1 exams

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hike policy here is between batch to batch and It's quiet low. The cost to study is not that high, a middle class studet can afford this fees. I didn't get any scholarship because of income crieteria, but I have friends who got lot of benefits.

Campus Life

There are two annual fests, one is technical and the other is cultural. They are conducted in September and March respectively. There are lot of books availabe here in the library. We have good lightning and benches, water facility near classrooms etc in the classrooms. The sports are highly encouraged by the institution.

Hostel Facilities

The facilities like fan, cupboard, washrooms, chairs, tables and water filters near rooms are provided in the hostels. The meals in mess are not that bad, sometimes it's very good. The hostel registration process and mess reg process are online thorugh hostels app.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

The admission process is thorugh jee mains exam. After qualifying we had counselling process held by JOSAA and CSAB. Reservation candidates will have lot of benefits like, fee concession, admissin through less rank etc.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Average student experience at amrita

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
