A life at NMIT

I choosed this course as I see a good opportunities in coming future. Talking about faculty and student ratio is good enough, faculty can see and track progress of students easily. Faculties are Ph.D holders so have enough and good knowledge in their field of studies. All faculties are different so have their own style of teaching you can adapt to and all are very open for doubtssolving and help. We have internal exams once a month with all the assignments and projects. It is quite strict in paper correction and quite hard to pass.

I really don't any idea of companies and their roles offered under internships with stipend. Talking about projects, we really get good help from our faculties for projects. The outcomes are atlast depends on how well you had studies and applied in your project.

Students become eligible for placements after 3rd year of 6th semester you can say. Many companies visit campus for placements and have good number of placements every year. Also we have Japenese campanies visit campus for placements. Highest package was 40 LPA in Adobe campany. I excatly don't have an idea for percentage of students getting placed. My plans after degree are no different than any other engineer.

The fees increases around 20k per year overall in education and hostel. The college fees has increased by 10k and hostel by 15k. There are no such scholarship, financial assistamce and job i got from campus yet. I am general category student and hence did not avail any scholarship.

There is annual fest of college named as Annadyanta. It happens in the months of June July or April. And small monthly tech fests or hackathons depending on the demands or the companies organise. We have a library having enough number of books available for all the departments. Faculties get their own personal copies from library and is the good part i feel. Classrooms have projectors and screens in each and every we have been alloted till date. Also i would mention fans and tubelights in very required number i can say. College helps and supports a lot in extra curricular activities. College is an active participant in a sports like Cricket, Hockey, Kho Kho, Kabaddi, Volley ball, Handball, basketball, Football, Badminton and many(Just in case if i missed any). Many clubs are there in college related to all activities. Cannot list them can gurantee that have enough number of active clubs all runned by students with help of faculties.

We get bed, table for studies and a cupboard for clothes. We have a wifi connection in all hostels. Hostel mess is good enough providing meals 4 times a day i:e.; Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks and Dinner. On festivals some special foods related to that ocassion is served. Registration process for hostel is easy and very short and sweet.

I wrote KCET exam as my entrance test. There are eligibility criteria, you can get the information on KCET website its easy to understand. Cut off for EEE was 35 thousand when i joined. All application details will be shown in KCET website just follow the notifications. I did not avail any reservation. Admission process easy and quite very clear to do.
