First year Experience at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of technology.

Honestly I didn't wanted to choose ECE, but I got ece in the 3rd round so I had to accept it. Here the teachers are highly qualified and most of them are friendly with students. The mid sem exams are mostly conducted once a month and they are very easy to pass.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm a first year student and I don't have much knowledge about the internship opportunities available in the college . But I have seen many of my seniors getting internship in the 3rd year.

Im a first year student in this college and I honestly don't have much information about the placements. Well according to my seniors, the placement record of the college is very good and many companies visit the campus every year. To become eligible for the placements, the safe zone for a student is to keep his/her cgpa above 7 atleast.

My fees through COMEDK was 2,37,000. (around 2.4 lakhs.). Students can apply for ssp scholarship program by the state government if they are from Karnataka. Many companies visit the campus for placements every year..

The campus life is pretty good but the only problem is that the campus is too far from the city and students end up spending a lot of money on travelling. The annual fest is called Anadhyanta and is conducted in the month of April or May. The classroom are pretty big and has well furnished benches and projectors. The college has facilities for almost all known sports like football, cricket, basketball, badminton, kho kho etc..

The hostel Life in the campus is very good. In a room they provide a bed, a table with chair and an almirah. The meal quality is good but you get bored with the same food after a while. You can register for the hostel room at the time of admission. The hostels are quite affordable compared to other colleges.

I joined the college through COMEDK with my rank around 12k. The admission process was pretty smooth, once you enter the college they will guide you throughout the admission process. The only bad thing was there was a long queue in the fee payment section and parents has to wait for a long time to pay the fees.
