My take on MCM DAV College for Women

I chose the Bachelor of Arts course, and I'm quite satisfied because I got my desired subjects, all the faculty members of English dept, Economics dept. and Psychology dept. are very good and very supportive. We are always given time to clear out any doubts and progress. The exams were timely and it wasn't too difficult to pass in my opinion.

as I have said before I am in the first year of the course here in mehr chand mahajan dav college for women, so I am not very aware of the opportunities offered except the few online opportunities that are open for us first years .

In the last semester students are eligible for placements. But as I'm in the first year right now, I'm not quite sure of the names of the companies and the number of companies they come in. the average package starts from 120000 per year.

The cost to study is very good if we take into consideration the quality of learning here and the efforts of our faculty members. In comparison to other colleges who take unreasonably higher fees and don't put in half the effort to monitor their students, MCM is a great choice.

The college annual fest or Meraki fest takes place in the month of February, the inter-college Youth Fest and the inter-college iTech fest are some of the highlights of studying here under PU. We also have a very accessible library with books from many departments and genres. There are many social clubs that students can be a part of, like the Mavericks club (books, theatre and movies) and the psychology club where they provide counselling by the name Getanjali.

There are many options when you take in the hostel option. We have 3 blocks available for students to choose from, one of the block has the facility of Air conditioning and the other 2 blocks do not. but students are allowed to bring in their coolers (and pay a small fee). The food is of okay quality and they provide a special dinner once a month and on special occasions.

Eligibility of the course for BA was 12th pass, the admission form was available online around the month of June and online application fees was rupees 800. After online application the cutout is displayed on MCM DAVIS website and they invite prospective students to come in the college face to face to verify documents and complete any process.
