Campus infrastructure is good and you can enjoy.
Opportunities are good if anyone will take part.
Good teacher and student bonding throughout the degree.

Dislikes

75% attendance system, 75% is mandatory.
Not works on quality but works on quantity of students.
Lot of crowd is there. More competition.

I choose this course with my interest and faculty are average here. Exams are normal to manage anyone with learning average can easily pass the exams. Some teachers are good and mainly works on BE syllabus

You can acquire internship here if you can take serious note to your future. There are lots of distractions. You have to study along with enjoying college life. In college you will gain knowledge only for passing the exams.

Placement Experience

There is average placement in college till my last semester. Many students are placed with average salary of 5 lakh. But there are lots of students left to get placed till now. Till now 30% of the students are placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees per semester is 80000.00 for BE CSE course when i took admission in 2020. Now in 2024 the fees is 120000 per semester so there is 40k hike in fees in 4 years. Scholarships are there on the basis of cucet score, 12th score, Jee main score etc.

Campus Life

There are lot of fest and event in this university. Annual fest, fresher party, dj night etc. held every year in the campus. This university spends lots of money on the fest and events. Variety of actors, singers, band come in fest.

Admission

Anyone with completion of 12th can take admission in BE course or avail scholarship with CUCET. There is lot of crowd and it will be maintained by applying any boundaries realted to JEE main or 12th marks.

Interview Experience

GD and PI are held every semester. In first three years there is a subject called soft skills. In this sub. Regular practice of GD and PI takes place by the faculty. There is one class of soft skills every week.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
