The only St. Xavier's University, Kolata Review that you will ever need

I chose this course because I believed that I had the necessary skillset required for this course and wanted to get better at those. Law is a very interesting subject and it has always piqued my interest so it was quite easy for me to choose it. The faculty-student ratio is good enough for the subjects taught each semester. For example, for a section of 60 students, each subject has an average of 2 teachers. Some important subjects mainly the law subjects have 3 faculty. All main faculty have a PhD degree in their fields and the assistant professors or the other faculty have varying qualifications from PhD to Masters in their fields. The exams are held very timely, for law we have 2 exams one is a short exam called the CIA (Continuous internal assessment) and the end-semester exam. They were of moderate difficulty but ultimately if one followed the words of the faculty like gospel then the exams were easy enough.

The companies and law firms that offered internships are many but the one I remember is Khaitan and Co. law firm. They were not stipend. The internship started from the third semester's end and went on till the tenth semester.

For my course, I do not know the fee hike policy but as for the cost to study the first-time admission fee is 30000 rupees along with the semester one to semester six fee is 65500 rupees. From the remaining semester, it is 78800 rupees. For the tenth semester, the students will also have to pay the alumni membership fee which is a compulsory amount of rupees 5015.

The annual fest of my university is called Xavrang and it doesn't have a fixed month but it generally happens during the first 3 months of the year. Other fest like tech, law etc are occurring throughout the year. There is a whole building dedicated to the library facility here. There is one general library, one commerce library and one law library. They are filled to the brim with books and every book relating to the courses is available there. The classroom also has a lot of amenities like its fully air-conditioned and computer chairs, not normal chairs mind you. There are a lot of sports events happening in our university and it has a dedicated sports society called XUSS ( XAVIER SPORTS SOCIETY). There are also a lot of other societies available like the Moot Court Society, the Debate Society, the Film Society, and many others. There is a dedicated part of our university called CSOP (Center for Social Outreach) whose main goal is to help the less unfortunate people of our society

St. Xavier's University, Kolkata presents the B.A. LL. (H) course has a minimum requirement of 45 % in the 10+2 examinations. The candidates undergo the Xavier's Law Entrance Test (XLAT) as part of the admission process. It tests the candidate's general knowledge, mathematical skills, English language skills and other skills needed to be eligible to study law without hindrance. This process is quite seamless as a member of the university's it department will call the candidate and guide them through this process. Unfortunately, at the moment there are no reservation benefits. Improvements that I want to see is that they can try to make their XLAT exam portal a little better as I entered the portal before the exams started and got stuck there and had to shut down my PC to exit it. Thats all.
