Pro's and Con's of manipal university

The number of hours of classes conducted daily is usually between 3 to 5.5 hours with ample breaks in between. The student to faculty ratio is 1:9. Most of the teaching staff holds a pHD, notes are provided in soft copy, classrooms are equipped with centralized AC. Mid terms and end sems are application based. So you just need the concept. No need to remember formulas. Formula book will be provided during exam and calculator is allowed.

Many startups and companies come for the intenship. They usually offer stipend between 5k-20k/ month. There are a lot of opportunities in this college. Students can enroll in many projects. Students can use the college tag to even go for higher studies in foreign universities

Manipal comes under tier 2. The average for CSE is around 19LPA, for lowers branches like mech, civil it is around 5LPA. Overall average is around 8LPA for all branches. Students are eligible for placements from end of 6th sem onwards. Many companies visit the campus like Microsoft, adobe, wipro, tcs, makemytrip. Around 90% got placed last year and my plan is go for masters after getting my bachelors

As the college is private college. The fee is generally high and depends on the course you have taken. For btech the tution fee is above 3L. Scholarship is provided on met rank based, need based, first year cgpa based. There are many categories in scholarship which the student can apply for if he is eligible

Two fest take place, techtatva (technical fest) and reveals (cultural fest). Techtatva takes in the end of the year and reveals usually in the start of the year like in March. Thousands of books are available in library. It is equipped with AC, study halls, water, washrooms. Classrooms too are equipped with AC, board, projector, mic, camera to record lectures. Many clubs like MTTN, photography club and student projects are present. So the student has a wide variety of choice to join the club that aligns with their interest. The college has many grounds for every possible sport you can think so. In fact manipal has the best facilities for sports I have ever seen

There are many types of rooms in MIT. Single AC, Single Non AC, Double AC, Double non AC, common and attached washrooms. More the facilities more the fees. A welcome kit will provided when you enter the hostel. Mess food is good. They take the feedback of the students and improve the menu. They maintain hygine. The registration process will be done after the counselling process for hostels

The admission process was based on the rank you got in manipal entrance test. The couselling fee is 10k and multiple rounds of counselling are held.
