Hostel is not soo up to the mark for like 120000
Academic pressure is just too much. Holidays are also less.

Course Curriculum Overview

Until now everything is fine. To be honest I did get problems with the faculty like my maths teacher but then soon the semister ended and my teacher was changed. Thankfully this time there are no complaints.

Fees and Financial Aid

I feel the fee is little high compared to what it provides. The clg fee is 120000 per semester and 120000 for hostel as well and this is not it, there is exam fee also that should be payed per semister. Coming to financial assistance yes there is a possibility to get loan.

Campus Life

I haven't explored soo much but overall it is good gives many opportunities to evolve in different fields. There are many clubs depending on your intrests like art and culture, research, development and many more. Cu includes sports clubs as well and if uh are tallented then cu will give uh wife opportunity to achieve success in various fields

Hostel Facilities

Hostel faculty is nice, wardens are not so strict gives us homely feeling, washrooms are disgusting even though they clean it regularly, rooms are small there are no lifts in girls hostel which is sometimes very difficult, the food in the mess is not soo good.

Hostel Fee: INR 120000 per year

Admission

The admission process was kind of smooth at the beginning when I was trying to enroll I got a councillor who helped me with my entrance exam process. I gave CUCET in the year 2023 and got a scholarship of 50%. I did not get any problem during my registration.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
