the college has unlimited possibilities for every aspect.
the faculty here is amazing . really helpful.
amazing campus life. food stalls everywhere with range of cuisines.

Dislikes

a lot of assignments given for a long period of time with short deadlines.
mess food has standard but can be repeated.
attendance policy is insanely strict no exceptions given.

this course is wuite popular among youngsters. this is the only engineering which is connected to all other aspects of engineering. quality of faculty is quite good. teachers are young and can relate with us on various aspects.

Internships Opportunities

huge companies like wipro etc come into the campus for placements. many companies which are not really popular but provide high packages of >80lakh per annum. interships from these companies help in future recommendations.

Placement Experience

campus placement is the real attraction here. there were of over 900 companies for placements. about 90 % students get placed from campus. the package here is really generous with unlimited opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

there are lots of opportunities for scholarship ranging from 30 % to 100 %. we need 30 marks out 100 for qualification and above that starts the scholarships. campus jobs are huge ranging from 4 lakh per annum to 1cr per annum

Campus Life

there are loads of events happening everyday. the most auspicious occasion here is diwali and holi where the celebration is grand. infrastructure is amazing with huge buildings all over the campus. huge libraries present all over the campus at checkpoints for students to avail.

Hostel Facilities

the hostel is really good compared to other hostels from different colleages. the mess food is really standard comnsisting of food all over india like idlis from south panner and chicken dishes from the north. it also has a feeling of " ghar ka khaana!".

Hostel Fee: INR 120000 per year

Admission

the admission process was quite smooth. we need to give the cucet exam to be eligible for this university . there are reservation benefits for lower caste and people for remote areas. apllication fees was 5000 in advance which we need to pay before which gets refunded later.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
