- Tough checking of certain subjects in exams
Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum is common for first year students There are two cycles i.e. physics And chemistry cycle in first year. Faculties are very nice and can be approached for any doubt. Term exams are medium-hard but with some self study it's easily passable
Internships Opportunities
All FAANG companies except Google provide internship opportunities, Most placements that happen in our college are internships which are then converted into placement. Which is P+I placement + internship
Placement Experience
Placement stats are very good I believe this is because of the exposure the college constantly gives the students From 7th semester students become eligible for placements Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs have visited But most good companies keep a cg criteria of 7-7.5. I will personally either do a ms in vlsi or a mba
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is the only bad factor of manipal I feel. Even though the opportunity and other things they provide us with for example student project. I didn't avail any scholarship but it's available for people who got under 5000 rank in MET And for top 5% of each course
Campus Life
The social life and fests here are top tier. Annual cultural fest is revels Annual technical fest is tech tatva They are conducted in March and October respectively All books are available in library related to our course. Classroom are air conditioned Sports teams and extra curricular activities are plenty with a team for pretty much every sport Lots of social groups, students project and clubs are there catering to each students interest
Hostel Facilities
There are various hostels which have different type of rooms I personally stay in a 2 seater non AC and common washroom There are ac single rooms with attached bathrooms as well Mess food is good mostly Affordability for ac rooms is a bit expensive than non AC But there is a minimum criteria of 5 cgpa which is required for hostels One can rent rooms in Udupi as well which are more affordable than hostels
Admission
Eligibility is 50% aggregate in maths, physics and chemistry for engineering I took MET entrance exam. Application process and everything happened through their SLCM website where everything has been explain in detail
